Seems like, the controversy around the Adidas Olympics ad campaign featuring supermodel Bella Hadid is not going to end anytime soon. A day after the German sportswear brand dropped Hadid, a vocal pro-Palestinian, several reports have claimed that the model is planning to take legal action against the renowned footwear company.

According to TMZ, several sources have claimed that Bella has hired lawyers and is planning to drag Adidas to court over the ad campaign and their lack of public accountability.

The model believes that Adidas spearheaded a ''cruel and damaging'' campaign. Sources have claimed that Hadid is upset that howa company would put out a campaign that would associate anyone with a tragedy like the Munich Massacre at the 1972 Olympics ... with violence running in contrast to BH's views, as per TMZ.

It has also been reported that the contract between Bella and Adidas has not been cancelledafterthe German company dropped her from the new campaign following the major controversy.

What's the controversy all about?

Earlier this week, amajor controversy erupted after sportswearbrand Adidas hiredBella Hadid, a vocal pro-Palestinian foran advertising campaign promoting a relaunch of classic sneakers from the 1972 Munich Olympics.

Soon after the advertisement featuring Bella was released, netizens and several pro-Israel organisations were quick to point out how the sportswear brand could hire the supermodel, who is a vocal supporter of Palestine, to promote the sneakers related to the 1972Munich Olympics.

The official social media account of the State of Israel wrote in a post on X, “Guess who the face of [Adidas’] campaign is? Bella Hadid, a half-Palestinian model who has a history of spreading antisemitism and calling for violence against Israelis and Jews.”

For those who don't know,in 1972, duringthe MunichOlympics, a barbaric incident took place when11 Israeli athletes and coaches were killed bya Palestinian terrorist group.

Adidas apology

Following the backlash, Adidas dropped the supermodel from the advertisement with an apology.

"We are conscious that connections have been made to tragic historical events -- though these are completely unintentional and we apologise for any upset or distress caused," the company said in a statement.
