Anurag Kashyap denies being sent CBI notice on alleged financial irregularities

Anurag Kashyap on November 22, 2018, denied being sent a notice by the CBI over alleged financial irregularities. In his defence, Anurag tweeted: "The reportage so far on the alleged "investigation" is false, There is no such notice that has been served to me. Only questions I have been getting is from the media. If anyone has seen the copy of such a letter please send me the screenshot ."

Meanwhile, news agency ANI revealed that some CBI sources have told them that the investigation agency has filed a preliminary enquiry against Anurag Kashyap and other directors for alleged financial irregularities including excess payments from the National Film Development Corporation.

The complaint was reportedly made by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and a case has been registered against unnamed officials of the National Film Development Corporation as well.

Anurag was earlier in news for his statement on Vikas Bahl and staying away from the controversy while announcing dismantling of Phantom Films.
