India will eye their maiden T20 World Cup title as Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. set their eyes on the trophy. India ready for T20 World Cup

“I think that is something we keep learning every day. Because when you win, sometimes you feel, OK, that is something I have achieved. But at the same time, the next day when you go, you may make small mistakes. And I think that is part of the game. And I think learning is something which is never going to stop, every day is a learning day,” Harmanpreet added.

“Every day I'm going and learning and getting experience from every game. Yeah, I think people around me, they are helping me, they are working hard to make our team go at that level where we want to be. I am happy with where our team is, like how our team is working hard to achieve small, small things,” Harmanpreet added.

India have been so near yet so far in the competition having missed out on the World Cup title in 2020. They lost in the final before the COVID-19 outbreak while they lost in the semis in the 2018 and 2023 editions. Interestingly, India came close to winning the gold medal in the Commonwealth Games before they were undone by Australia in 2022. India have also previously lost an ODI World Cup final to England, giving a close account of how good the team has been.

However, according to the skipper, India have the best squad and should go all the way to winning the title.

The Women in Blue will start their campaign against New Zealand on October 4 before squaring off against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday (Oct6). India will next take on Sri Lanka (Oct 9) and former champions Australia (Oct 13) in the group stage before the knockout stage begins.
