Pakistan's Mohammad Hafeez suspended after ICC finds bowling action illegal

Pakistan's Mohammad Hafeez's has been banned from bowling in international cricket after the ICC found his bowling action to be illegal.

Match officials had reported Hafeez in last month’s third one-day international against Sri Lanka.

“The assessment revealed that the majority of his deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulations,” the ICC said in a statement.

Hafeez is an off-spinner and an opening batsman. 

Hafeez, 37, has been suspended twice earlier.

He served a 12-month ban starting July, 2015 after his action was found to be illegal for the second time in a two-year period.
