The Suzuki Jimny Heritage edition got sold out in a record 2 days. Celebrating its success, Suzuki has now introduced the same Heritage edition for the Jimny XL, which is the 5-door model of the small offroader. The Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage edition features cosmetic enhancements amping up its vintage appeal among the cult Jimny following.
Coming to the cosmetic enhancements, the Jimny XL Heritage edition features Heritage body decals that wrap around the side and rear profiles. Red front and rear mud flaps further enhance the visual appeal of the offroader while also improving its vintage stance. Moreover, the exterior bears the same features as the regular model, which includes LED projector headlights, blacked-out 15-inch alloy wheels and tail-mounted spare wheel with blacked-out cover.
On the inside, the Jimny XL Heritage edition brings a cargo tray in addition to the interior Heritage pack. Furthermore, it packs the same features as the regular Jimny, which include a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, amber-backlit instrument cluster, automatic climate control, multi-functional steering wheel and more.

Coming to its powertrain, the Jimny XL features the same 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine as the regular Jimny. Its 4-cylinder engine puts out 102PS of power at 6000rpm and 130Nm of torque at 4000rpm. Unlike the higher variants of the Jimny 3-door and Jimny XL, the Jimny XL Heritage edition comes only with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Needless to say, the Jimny XL Heritage edition comes with Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro four-wheel-drive system as standard. The part-time four-wheel-drive system ensures that the Jimny tackles all kinds of tricky terrain with ease. While it doesn’t come with manually-lockable differentials, the Jimny XL offers brake-locking differentials at either ends, which use braking force to channel power to the wheel with low traction in tricky situations.
The Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage edition is limited to 500 units and following the success of the Jimny Heritage edition, the XL should also run out of stock soon. Hence, if you want to drive home the Jimny XL Heritage edition, you better be quick to ring the bell at your nearest Suzuki Australia dealership.
