2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
In its bid to strengthen its luxury portfolio, Mercedes-Benz India has updated two of its most popular models – GLC and C-Class. These models now come with improved powertrain options and key-feature modifications, which improve comfort and convenience for passengers. The C Class comes in different variants such as the C200 petrol, C220d diesel and the C300 AMG Line petrol. All these improvements continue to assert that while the latest C-Class is arguably the ‘Baby-S’ class, it offers the best of aspects of mainstream luxury cars and high-performance sports cars.
The high-end C300 comes with the distinctive exterior and interior AMG Line trims, ‘Night Package’, Burmester 3D surround sound, Digital Lights, Keyless-go comfort package, Augmented reality navigation, and Blind spot assist. It will be available in two exciting new colors: Sodalite Blue and Patagonia Red of Manufaktur. Interior changes are a metal structure trim, added to the center console, and new fast-charging USB ports.

For the C300 model, there is the M254 petrol engine available and despite its moderate capacity, it provides substantial pulling force even when driving at very low revs. It is fuel-efficient and low-emission with smooth running characteristic. The other important component in the engine is the Integrated Starter-Alternator (ISG) which is capable of supplying the internal combustion engine with further power and torque. Further, there is an option of an overboost function in the C 300 new four-cylinder engine, where it delivers more power for around half a minute in the 190 kW tune.
These new standard features in the C 200 and C 220d include climatised front seats, a 360-degree camera, fast-charging USB-C ports for mobile devices, digital key handover, and adaptive high beam assist that improve comfort, safety, and digital technologies of the cars.
In the new GLC, the comfort is enhanced by the installation of climatised front seats while safety is improved by the inclusion of the side airbags in the rear, making the total number of airbags in the GLC being nine.
