Republican National Convention ends today and amazing things happened on the night. Trump formally accepted the Republican Party's nomination for president, giving his first speech since the assassination attempt on his life, with Hulk Hogan tearing off his shirt in a crazy show of support for him. Trump was also joined by several of his family members, including his wife Melania Trump, son Eric Trump, his wife Lara Trump and their children Carolina, 4, and Luke, 6. Ivanka Trump was also present with her husband Jared Kushner, as was Tiffany Trump and her husband.
Amidst all the political and family action, it was Carolina, Trump's 4-year-old granddaughter, who stole the show while sitting on her grandpa's lap. When Eric took the stage to address the crowd, Carolina clapped while her brother Luke cheered on their dad. Eric spoke about the moment the family watched Trump getting shot, with blood on his face. "Five days ago, Lara, Luke, Carolina and I held our breath as we watched blood pour across your face. By the grace of God, divine intervention and your guardian angels above, you survived," Eric said.
The two kids put on quite a show, making faces, some of them meme-worthy, and overall just adding a whole lot of cute to the RNC.

Trump, a family man
Trump's family appearance at the event brought out a side of him people aren't used to seeing a lot. With his son, daughter-in-law, grandkids, his wife and daughters all next to him, Trump looked like a vulnerable family man who seems to have mellowed down following the shooting. He appeared like the "grandfather" that he really is.
Trump later said that his middle son "didn't want to really come up here."
Just a day earlier, Trump's oldest grandchild, 17-year-old Kai Trump, made her political debut, taking the stage at the Convention. She talked about how Trump was just a 'normal grandpa' who sneaked his grandchildren soda and candy when their parents weren't looking.
Meanwhile, Trump's wife Melania entered to a roaring applause on Thursday, her first appearance at the current convention. She greeted JD Vance, Trump's running mate for Vice President, and his wife Usha Vance and sat next to them for Trump's speech.
Trump's speech at the Republican Convention
Trump promised an "incredible victory" in the November presidential elections in his first speech since the assassination attempt during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania. "We will have an incredible victory, and we will begin the four greatest years in the history of our country," the 78-year-old said.
Trump said he instantly knew he was "under attack", but he had "God on my side". He also asked for a moment of silence to honour firefighter Corey Comperatore, who died in the shooting. He later kissed the slain firefighter's helmet.
