Palestinian President calls US dishonest mediator, says will not accept US peace plan

Abbas said 'The United States has proven to be a dishonest mediator in the peace process and we will no longer accept any plan from the United States.'
Mahmud Abbas, the president of Palestine has said that his country will not accept any peace proposal by the United States.
He said, "The United States has proven to be a dishonest mediator in the peace process and we will no longer accept any plan from the United States."
Abbas also hit out at US efforts to intimidate countries ahead of a vote at the United Nations.
"I hope that the others will learn the lesson and understand that you cannot impose solutions by using money and trying to buy off countries," he said.
President Abbas'sremarks came in a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
The French President had said in the meeting that the United States had "marginalised itself" in the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Macron's claims came in response to USrecognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
