Islamic State fighter from Australia Khaled Sharrouf from Australia is likely dead in a coalition air strike in Raqqa, reports said.
Reports said Khaled Sharrouf and his sons two sons - Abdullah, 12, and Zarqawi, 11 were killed while driving near Raqqa in an air strike on August 11th.
Australia today said there was a "high probability" that IS fighter Khaled Sharrouf was dead. "Nobody will mourn his passing... I can assure you of that," Australia's Immigration Minister Peter Dutton told Channel Nine.
The Australian newspaper and the Australian Broadcasting Corporationboth citing unnamed government sources, reported the death of Sharrouf and his sons.
"There's a high level of confidence, but this guy's been like a cat with nine lives," Peter Duttonsaid.
Sharrouf was earlier believed to have been killed in 2015 in a drone strike in Syria but later reports said he was alive. He is believed to have joined IS in Syria in 2013.
