North Korean leader Kim Jong Un today praised the "impressive features ofSouth Korea expressing "thanks" to Seoul even as Japanese PM Abe said South Korean president Moon HAD agreed to keep "maximum pressure" on North Korea.
The North Korean delegation headed by Kim's sister Kim Yo Jong returned to Pyongyang on Monday.
"After receiving the delegation's report, Kim Jong Un expressed satisfaction over it and said that very impressive were the features of the south side which specially prioritised the visit of the members of the DPRK side who took part in the Winter Olympics," North Korea's state-run media KCNA said.
The KCNA report said North Korean leader wished to build on the rapprochement at the Winter Olympics, saying that he felt it "is important to continue making good results by further livening up the warm climate of reconciliation and dialogue".
Kim Yo Jong returned home after a successful diplomatic outreach with the South as she met President Moon Jae-in and helped cooldown the political temperature on the Korean peninsula plagued by months of uncertainty over her brother Kim Jong Un's ballistic missile tests.
The report added that Kim "set forth in detail the orientation of the improvement of the north-south relations and gave important instructions to the relevant field to take practical measures for it."
