James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" became all about rekindled romance date and romantic music when this week it was singer Kelly Clarkson at the interview seat.

"American Idol" champ Kelly Clarkson joined CBS' "The Late Late Show" host James Corden for a musical journey on this week's show.

The show started with singer Kelly singing her 2004 hit song "Since U Been Gone" with obviously the show host joining her in singing.

James can then be heard saying, Kelly has a “voice where you can make anything sound good”. To which the singer obliged and sang a nursery rhyme, a cappella.

In the video, the host appears to nod off the rhyme— a dodgy manoeuvre when one is behind the wheel of a car on Los Angeles street.

The musical motoring ended with a surprise "date night" for Kelly --  complete with romance, violins and a question that fans will ask after the show gets over 'exactly what kind of video they’re making here'. It was her husband who came to give her a surprise (for those who didn't follow the last show).
