&quot;American Idol&quot;&nbsp;champ Kelly Clarkson joined CBS&#39; &quot;The Late Late Show&quot;&nbsp;host James Corden for a musical journey on this week&#39;s show.&nbsp;

The show started with singer Kelly singing her 2004 hit song &quot;Since U Been Gone&quot; with obviously the show host&nbsp;joining her in singing.&nbsp;

James can then be heard saying, Kelly has a&nbsp;&ldquo;voice where you can make anything sound good&rdquo;. To which the singer obliged and sang a&nbsp;nursery rhyme, a cappella.

In the video, the host appears to nod off the rhyme&mdash; a dodgy manoeuvre when one is behind the wheel of a car on Los Angeles street.

The musical motoring ended with a surprise &quot;date night&quot; for Kelly --&nbsp; complete with romance, violins and a question that fans will ask after the show gets over &#39;exactly what kind of video they&rsquo;re making here&#39;. It was her husband who came to give her a surprise (for those who didn&#39;t follow the last show).&nbsp;
