A state of emergency has been declared in Venezuela following twin earthquakes of 7.2 and 7.5 magnitudes that struck the country's northern coast on June 24, 2026. Acting President Delcy Rodríguez confirmed at least 32 fatalities and over 700 injuries, warning that these numbers are expected to rise as rescue teams continue to navigate the debris of collapsed buildings in La Guaira and Caracas.
