Britain’s top military officer Sir Richard Knighton has warned that the UK is not as ready as it needs to be for the kind of full-scale conflict it could face. Speaking to Parliament’s Defence Committee, he acknowledged delays in the government’s defence investment plan amid reports the Ministry of Defence needs billions more to meet future costs.
