Pakistan: Sectarian Clashes Resume In Pakistan

Recent wave of violence in Kurram has killed at least 82 people. In Kurram, local Sunni and Shia armed groups have clashed for decades over land disputes. For mediation, a team flew into Parachinar, Kurram’s main city and met with Shia and Sunni leaders. After talks a ceasefire was reached, and officials say the announcement should stop more minor clashes reported in the district’s remote areas. However, the said truce didn't last long.
