France reels under fourth night of unrest triggered by fatal police shooting

After the fatal police shooting of a 17-year-old boy, 45 000 officers and light armoured vehicles have been deployed in France to deal with the fourth night of violent protests. President Emmanuel Macron has so far refrained from issuing a state of emergency, but he has left an EU summit in Brussels early to attend his second cabinet crisis meeting in two days.
