Accompanied by the recently-crowned U-19 T20 World Cup winner Richa Gosh, the pair stitched a 58-run stand for the fourth wicket and saw their team home in the 19th over itself.</p>

<p>Speaking during the presser after her heroic knock, Rodrigues recalled watching Kohli’s masterful innings against Pakistan, and how it inspired her to win the big game on her own.</p>

<p>"India v Pakistan matches are always a little bit more special -- we spoke about it in the team meeting," Jemimah said after India vs Pakistan match in Cape Town.</p>

<p>"Growing up we always watched these matches. I remember watching the match at the MCG where Virat Kohli played such an extraordinary knock. <p>Chasing 160 at the iconic MCG, India was reeling at 31 for four inside seven overs at one stage. With Kohli at one end, India fans were hopeful of watching their side walk away with the win – and well, that only happened. After an exciting middle-over passage, it all fell down to be needing 28 off nine balls.</p>

<p>Kohli then smashed two of the best sixes to Pakistan’s ace seamer Haris Rauf and pulled the game in India’s favour. Despite some drama in the last over, he helped India chase down the target with four wickets in hand.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the women’s team will next face the Windies on Wednesday, February 15th at the Newlands in Cape Town.</p>

<p>As the cricketing world gears up for the marquee Border-Gavaskar series that starts from February 9th in Nagpur, former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif is looking forward to one battle – Virat Kohli vs Pat Cummins. Two of the most dominant figures, Kohli and Cummins have a history together with the Australian remaining on top in a head-to-head battle. Having dismissed Virat five out of six times in the past, Pat is expected to deliver this time as well. Latif, who runs his YouTube channel, opines that Cummins will have a psychological advantage over Kohli come the Test series.</p>

<p>Latif added owing to Cummins’ bowling angle, he tends to trouble the best of batters – be it Kohli or even Babar Azam. With the new ball or even with the reversing one, the Aussie captain will remain a threat to the star Indian batter.</p>

The way he angles the ball in and then manages to take it away will trouble batters like Kohli and Babar Azam. So this is definitely a battle to watch out for and Cummins will be a threat whether the ball is new or reversing," said Latif on his YouTube channel.</p>

<p>Not only Cummins, Lyon will also come across as a potential wicket-taker against India on the rank turners. Latif feels although India has played him well over the years, they still have to be wary of him given the experience he has now on his back.</p>

<p>“If there are turning pitches on offer, Nathan Lyon has enough experience (to exploit them). But India’s batters play him very well. Australia’s pitches are different - there is bounce over there and the ball also skids a bit. But the Indian batters will get additional time over here, so I feel they can manage well. India, however, cannot take him lightly in the fourth innings,” the former Pakistan skipper added.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, other than Nagpur, Delhi, Dharamsala and Ahmadabad will host the remaining three Tests.</p>

As the cricketing world gears up for the marquee Border-Gavaskar series that starts from February 9th in Nagpur, former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif is looking forward to one battle – Virat Kohli vs Pat Cummins. Two of the most dominant figures, Kohli and Cummins have a history together with the Australian remaining on top in a head-to-head battle. Having dismissed Virat five out of six times in the past, Pat is expected to deliver this time as well. Latif, who runs his YouTube channel, opines that Cummins will have a psychological advantage over Kohli come the Test series. Latif added owing to Cummins’ bowling angle, he tends to trouble the best of batters – be it Kohli or even Babar Azam. With the new ball or even with the reversing one, the Aussie captain will remain a threat to the star Indian batter. But the Indian batters will get additional time over here, so I feel they can manage well. India, however, cannot take him lightly in the fourth innings,” the former Pakistan skipper added. <p>Indian team’s head coach Rahul Dravid said the management is prioritising certain tournaments like the Border-Gavaskar series and World Test Championship while managing the workload of seniors like&nbsp;Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. In this cricket-heavy calendar, Dravid stressed on picking right players for particular series as they don’t want pile of injured players just before the start of any important tournament. Speaking to the media ahead of the final ODI against New Zealand in Indore, the former captain addressed this issue.</p>

<p>“We need to give certain priorities to certain white-ball tournaments due to the amount of cricket that we’re playing. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the World Test Championship are very important for us. There are certain white-ball tournaments that we have to prioritize,” said Dravid.</p>

<p>The former India captain&nbsp;also said rest to Rohit and Kohli following the ODI series was the need of the hour as the management wants them to turn up fresh ahead of the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia that begins on February 9th in Nagpur.</p>

One evening, Ravi called him and said, ‘Look, Virat, MS gave it (the captaincy) to you in red-ball cricket. You have to respect him. He will give it to you in limited-overs cricket, too, when the time is right. Unless you respect him now, tomorrow when you are the captain, you won’t get the respect from your team’."</p>
