‘Unboxing by Husband’: Viral trend on TikTok in Malaysia faces backlash

A 5-year-old girl is taking the United Kingdom by storm. A video of her chiding Prime Minister Boris Johnson for attending a party in Downing Street during Covid lockdown has gone viral. Layla Somani, from Leicester, Leicestershire, had been avidly following the news for the past week. While the girl was eloquently explaining the pressing situation to her grandparents her mother Devina Somani taped her detailed monologue and shared it online.

<p>The world is full of misinformation. This holds true for a Gen Z-fuelled conspiracy theory that “Birds Aren’t Real.” &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the US, a movement has started on the concept that the birds do not exist. And instead of them, US government has launched drone replicas to spy on Americans, a report by The New York Times said. &nbsp;</p>

<p>On social media, the accounts of ‘Birds Aren’t Real’ have garnered numerous followers. Several YouTube videos of it have also gone viral. &nbsp;</p>

<p>In several cities, massive billboards have come up declaring the same. Not just this, some followers even protested outside Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco to demand the change of company’s bird logo. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Numerous young people have joined the movement by wearing ‘Birds Aren’t Real’ T-shirts in many rallies. &nbsp;</p>

Beijing's air quality index (AQI) reached the maximum 500 as dust carrying extremely high levels of hazardous particles blew in from Mongolia and northwest China. In mid-March, the city was hit by what China's weather bureau called the biggest sandstorm in a decade. (With inputs from agencies)

The video was a satirical take on Pakistanis who go abroad and come home to visit. Known as ‘burgers’, the video makes fun of the privileged lifestyles of these abroad-returns in a harmless fashion. In the video Dananeer played a ‘borgor’ as she stands on the side of a road and says with an accent - ‘yeh hum hai, yeh humari car hai aur ye humari pawri hori hai’ (This is us, this is our car and this is our party happening). <p>6 Hamburger meals, 6 Mc Happy snacks, 8 extra toys, 2 big portions of chicken nuggets with 12 nuggets each, 1 big potato chips with bacon and cheddar, 10 milkshakes, 2 top sundae strawberry, 2 apple tartlets, 2 McFlurry, 8 water bottles, 1 grape juice and 2 extra sauces</p>

Technology has made ordering food child's play. All you have to do is take your smartphone, and order from your favorite restaurant via app. Everything's taken care of including the payment. While this has come to be a major help to all of us, the ease with which the food can be ordered and money spent can be real troublesome. Mother of a four-year-old boy from Brazil got the first-hand experience. Her son took her phone and ordered food from McDonald's. If this sounds like a normal thing then hear this. The total bill came to 400 Brazilian Real (INR 5000 or 67 USD). The woman has described this funny incident in Portuguese on her Instagram account. The photo shows her son sitting at a table having food that is clearly too much for 2 people. So what did the boy order? 6 Hamburger meals, 6 Mc Happy snacks, 8 extra toys, 2 big portions of chicken nuggets with 12 nuggets each, 1 big potato chips with bacon and cheddar, 10 milkshakes, 2 top sundae strawberry, 2 apple tartlets, 2 McFlurry, 8 water bottles, 1 grape juice and 2 extra sauces View this post on Instagram A post shared by Raissa Wanderley (@raissawandrade) × The image has gone viral due to the major aww quotient. <p>Ratan Tata needs no introduction. The Chairman Emeritus of Tata Group is a respected figure not just in business circles, but among public as well. His salt-to-steel conglomerate has been an important part of India Inc's success story. Ratan Tata's love for animals is also well known.</p>

<p>On Wednesday, Tata posted a pic of him with dogs. There is nothing business-like in the picture. Ratan Tata appears in a casual mode. In this picture, Ratan Tata is not the business mogul he is, but just a man who is fond of animals.</p>

<p>"A few heartwarming moments with the adopted Bombay House dogs this Diwali, especially Goa, my office companion", reads the Instagram post.</p>

Ratan Tata needs no introduction. The Chairman Emeritus of Tata Group is a respected figure not just in business circles, but among public as well. His salt-to-steel conglomerate has been an important part of India Inc's success story.

Ratan Tata needs no introduction. The Chairman Emeritus of Tata Group is a respected figure not just in business circles, but among public as well. His salt-to-steel conglomerate has been an important part of India Inc's success story. Ratan Tata's love for animals is also well known. On Wednesday, Tata posted a pic of him with dogs. There is nothing business-like in the picture. Ratan Tata appears in a casual mode. In this picture, Ratan Tata is not the business mogul he is, but just a man who is fond of animals. "A few heartwarming moments with the adopted Bombay House dogs this Diwali, especially Goa, my office companion", reads the Instagram post. Ratan Tata's office dog's name is Goa. Here is the viral story behind it

<p>A pianist in Barcelona became an example of ‘keeping at it’ as the street behind him witnessed violent clashes between the anti-lockdown protesters and the police. The video went viral on social media in no time with many calling it ‘peak 2020 mood’.</p>

<p>In the pianist's footage, explosions go off and youths are seen hurling rocks at police vans while he plays the 1988 Bangles hit with the famous lyric: 'Is this burning an eternal flame?'</p>

<p>The pianist, identified as Peter William Geddes, said he was playing at the Plaça Nova on October 31, but told The Guardian that he felt “peaceful” despite the chaos behind him. “When I play I am very calm. No nerves,” he told the newspaper.</p>

<p>On Saturday, demonstrators took to the streets for the second night of protests against the new lockdown, setting fires and pelting officers with projectiles.</p>

<p>The violence erupted after prime minister Pedro Sánchez declared a state of emergency and imposed a nationwide curfew between 11pm and 6am on October 25, with people only allowed to leave their homes for essential journeys. Earlier, around 1,500 hotel and restaurant workers took part in a peaceful march against the restrictions which threaten their livelihoods.</p>

A pianist in Barcelona became an example of ‘keeping at it’ as the street behind him witnessed violent clashes between the anti-lockdown protesters and the police. The video went viral on social media in no time with many calling it ‘peak 2020 mood’. In the pianist's footage, explosions go off and youths are seen hurling rocks at police vans while he plays the 1988 Bangles hit with the famous lyric: 'Is this burning an eternal flame?' This has such 2020 energy https://t.co/4685srJKb5 — Jonathan Reynolds (@jreynoldsMP) November 2, 2020 × How to explain 2020 to your grandkids in 30 years time. https://t.co/yXL6kAJlRY — Ronan Healy (@HeresRo) November 3, 2020 × The pianist, identified as Peter William Geddes, said he was playing at the Plaça Nova on October 31, but told The Guardian that he felt “peaceful” despite the chaos behind him. “When I play I am very calm. No nerves,” he told the newspaper. ‘Major 2020 energy’: Pianist calmly plays on the street amid violent anti-lockdown protests in Barcelona

<p>We all have made peace with masks. That's the least of the new normal in the times of the pandemic. We don't go out without one. We scoff at anyone sneezing and coughing. Even designer masks are being manufactured now to give us a break from the usual white, black or grey ones.</p>

<p>We are indeed bored of the times and crave for normalcy that appears elusive.</p>

<p>In such a time a photo is becoming an emblem of hope.</p>

<p>The photo posted on Instagram on October 5 has a doctor holding a newborn baby in hand. The baby was likely born just a few minutes before the photo was taken.</p>

<p>As the baby took its very first breaths in the world its left hand clutched what it could, the doctor's mask.</p>

We all have made peace with masks. That's the least of the new normal in the times of the pandemic. We don't go out without one. We scoff at anyone sneezing and coughing.

We all have made peace with masks. That's the least of the new normal in the times of the pandemic. We don't go out without one. We scoff at anyone sneezing and coughing. Even designer masks are being manufactured now to give us a break from the usual white, black or grey ones. We are indeed bored of the times and crave for normalcy that appears elusive. In such a time a photo is becoming an emblem of hope. The photo posted on Instagram on October 5 has a doctor holding a newborn baby in hand. The baby was likely born just a few minutes before the photo was taken. As the baby took its very first breaths in the world its left hand clutched what it could, the doctor's mask. Kashmir Connect: A WION special series

<p>A 'unicorn' puppy who was born with one ear is the latest social media star. The puppy is a golden retriever who was disfigured after falling critically ill just after being born. The singular ear is placed near its forehead.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Rae -- 'ear' spelled backwards -- has become a viral sensation and has been attracting millions of views on TikTok and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/goldenunicornrae/"><strong>Instagram.</strong></a></p>

<p>Rae was adopted by a receptionist who worked at a veterinary hospital in Grand Rapids he was treated at.</p>

<p>It is believed that Rae's deformity was a result of his mother cleaning off the placenta or amniotic sack too aggressively.</p>

<p>The dog was rushed to hospital for surgery hours after being born. He was then left with one ear that sticks out of her head.</p>

A 'unicorn' puppy who was born with one ear is the latest social media star. The puppy is a golden retriever who was disfigured after falling critically ill just after being born. The singular ear is placed near its forehead. Rae -- 'ear' spelled backwards -- has become a viral sensation and has been attracting millions of views on TikTok and Instagram. Rae was adopted by a receptionist who worked at a veterinary hospital in Grand Rapids he was treated at. It is believed that Rae's deformity was a result of his mother cleaning off the placenta or amniotic sack too aggressively. The dog was rushed to hospital for surgery hours after being born. He was then left with one ear that sticks out of her head.
