The Big Bash League 2022/23 is attracting a lot of eyeballs. In the game between Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat, a sensational, as well as a controversial moment, came forward when Michael Neser pulled off a catch outside the boundary line only for the umpire to give the marching orders to the batter. The incident took place during the run-chase where the Sixers were chasing a mammoth 225.

With 33 needed off the last 12 deliveries, the Sixers' hopes rested on Jordan Silk and Sean Abbott. Silk was well-set and started the penultimate over with a maximum. He went for another big hit, off Mark Steketee, to be caught in an unusual manner by Neser at long-off. While it looked like the ball would go for a six, Neser produced a moment of brilliance. He first caught the ball and as he was aware that his momentum was taking him past the boundary line, he looped the ball in the air and timed his jump to catch the ball for the second time while not touching the ground. Just before he was about to land on the ground, Neser once again threw the ball in the air outside the boundary line, came inside the ropes and completed the catch. Here's the viral video:

Day 2 of the Boxing Day Test match between Australia and South Africa, at the MCG, has been dominated by David Warner. After the hosts bundled out the Proteas for a paltry 189, with Cameron Green shining with a five-fer, and were 45 for 1 at stumps on the opening day, Warner came out all guns blazing on Tuesday (December 27) and smacked a memorable 200 -- in his 100th Test -- and took the home side to a daunting position courtesy of an impressive 239-run third-wicket stand with Steve Smith (85). Australia are already coasting towards a big lead in the contest with seven wickets in hand.

While Warner made the headlines with his knock, the Spider camera also made heads turn with a bizarre incident taking place. While fielding at backward square leg, South African pacer Anrich Nortje suffered a bizarre collision with the spider cam. The equipment, which hovers over the fielders in a bid to provide a 360-degree view of the ground, collided with the speedster and it seemed like a huge blow as Nortje lay on the ground for quite some time. As a result, players from both the camps ran towards him and checked on him. Nortje laid on the ground for some time before getting up and escaping a serious injury. Here's the viral video:

Twitter Files 9.0 reveals a web of ‘social media surveillance, censorship’ by not just FBI, other agencies too

Day 2 of the ongoing second and final Test between India and Bangladesh has been filled with drama and lots of action on the 22-yard cricket strip. While the day started with India losing both their openers for cheap and No. 3 batter Cheteshwar Pujara also returning to the pavillion before the lunch break, the visitors could've lost another wicket due to a miscommunication between former skipper Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant.

The incident took place on the last ball before lunch with Virat on strike. The right-hander played a flick shot to mid-on and was keen on taking a single. However, Pant sent him back as Kohli somehow managed to reach the crease with a diving effort. It wasn't well received as the senior pro gave a death stare to Pant. Here's the video which has gone viral on social media platforms:

After the lunch break, Kohli perished soon edging one to the keeper off Taskin Ahmed's delivery. He was dismissed for 24 (73), leaving India tottering at 94 for 4 after Bangladesh managed 227 all-out in 73.5 overs. Following Kohli's dismissal, India have counterattacked -- and rode on their luck -- to be well-placed at 226 for 4 courtesy of an entertaining and unbeaten 132-run fifth-wicket stand between Pant (86 not out) and Shreyas Iyer (58 not out).

With India trailing by only a run, they will rely on Pant-Iyer and their lower-order batters to take their lead beyond the 100-run mark in the final session of the day.

Here's the video which has gone viral on social media platforms: That Stare from Virat Kohli..!

Elon Musk breaks silence after damning poll called for his resignation as Twitter CEO

Argentina ended their 36-year-long drought by winning the FIFA World Cup 2022 edition on Sunday evening (December 18), edging past defending champions France in a riveting finale at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar. Being ahead by 2-0 till the 80th minute, Argentina lost the plot with Frenchman Kylian Mbappe scoring twice and taking the game to the extra time.

The extra time also couldn't separate the two sides with the scoreline being 3-3 before Lionel Messi & Co. kept their calm and emerged on top in the penalty shootout (by a 4-2 margin). With this, Messi's World Cup run ended on an emphatic fashion and the 35-year-old also returned with the Golden Ball Award; being the first to win in twice.

After the win, Messi is on cloud nine and kept the World Cup trophy close to him. In a recent Instagram post, the Argentine captain shared pictures of him sleeping with the coveted trophy. Here's the post, which has become viral and garnered in over 4 million likes just minutes after being posted:

India's ongoing tour of Bangladesh saw Ishan Kishan create history. Kishan featured in India's playing XI in the third and final ODI, with regular captain Rohit Sharma being injured, and opened the innings with Shikhar Dhawan. 'My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci': Elon Musk takes a dig at US' top infectious disease expert

Three months and thousands of kilometres: that's how much Moon the humpback whale has travelled, that too with a broken back.

Navigating ocean swells and currents, in immense pain the whale has travelled 5,000km (3,100 miles) all the way from British Columbia to Hawaii. However, as per The North Coast Cetacean Society a.k.a., BC Whales, it is likely that Moon will die soon.

Watch | WION Climate Tracker | Study: Blue Whales eat 10 million pieces of microplastics daily

The non-profit whale-research organisation that is dedicated to the research and protection of cetaceans along the northern coast of British Columbia, as per Guardian said that Moon's story is a stark reminder of the growing dangers that these gentle marine giants face along Canada's west coast.

"It’s absolutely amazing...but also it just breaks your heart," said Janie Wray the CEO of BC Whales, as she talked about the whale's long migratory journey that too without the use of her tail due to the broken back.

The organisation as per a post on Instagram first noticed Moon's injury on September 7.

"As our drone hovered overhead we immediately recognized that this whale had been struck by a vessel due to the unnatural ‘S’ bend in the spine from the dorsal fin to her fluke," said the organisation, adding "In her current condition, she will not survive to make the return journey."

On December 1, the Pacific Whale Foundation (PWF) spotted a whale with a severely deformed spine and it was soon confirmed that it was Moon. Humpback whales have a " tradition of migrating between feeding and breeding grounds". She was most probably born in Hawaii which is a breeding ground for whales like her.

Watch | WION Climate Tracker | Study: Blue Whales eat 10 million pieces of microplastics daily The non-profit whale-research organisation that is dedicated to the research and protection of cetaceans along the northern coast of British Columbia, as per Guardian said that Moon's story is a stark reminder of the growing dangers that these gentle marine giants face along Canada's west coast. "It’s absolutely amazing...but also it just breaks your heart," said Janie Wray the CEO of BC Whales, as she talked about the whale's long migratory journey that too without the use of her tail due to the broken back. Also read | Chimpanzees show objects to others, just like humans to simply grab attention: Study The organisation as per a post on Instagram first noticed Moon's injury on September 7. "As our drone hovered overhead we immediately recognized that this whale had been struck by a vessel due to the unnatural ‘S’ bend in the spine from the dorsal fin to her fluke," said the organisation, adding "In her current condition, she will not survive to make the return journey." Image courtesy: BC Whales/Instagram On December 1, the Pacific Whale Foundation (PWF) spotted a whale with a severely deformed spine and it was soon confirmed that it was Moon. Humpback whales have a " tradition of migrating between feeding and breeding grounds". She was most probably born in Hawaii which is a breeding ground for whales like her.
