Oscar winner Jane Fonda has joined a long list of Hollywood luminaries who have praised SS Rajamouli's period drama 'RRR', but her appreciation post hasn't landed well with the netizens. Fonda, who has made a name for herself in the acting world, recently saw the action film starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan and was quick to praise it. However, Jane made a minor error when she referred to Rajamouli's film as a "Bollywood film".

Sharing a poster from the film featuring NTR, Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn, Fonda praised the film in the caption and wrote that 'RRR' is another film that surprised her.

The caption reads: "On the complete opposite extreme of the last film I recommended, To Leslie, here’s another new one that took me by surprise: RRR, an Indian film that has been nominated for Best Foreign Film. It’s a combination of Indiana Jones, a serious film about imperialism, and Bollywood. I was transfixed. @rrrmovie."

Soon after the post was made public, netizens were quick to call out Fonda for calling the 'RRR' a Bollywood film.

Jane Fonda calls ‘RRR’ a Bollywood film in her appreciation post, netizens react

Priyanka Chopra is talking about the first few difficult months following the birth of her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Chopra has earlier shared that her baby was born a trimester premature. She has spent her first 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

During her recent interview with British Vogue, Chopra talked about the first, scary few months that her daughter spent in the NICU, and said she "didn't know if she would make it or not."

Opening up about the tough days, the 'Quantico' star recalled and shared that her daughter was "smaller than my hand" when she was born.

"I was in the OR [operating room] when she came out. She was so small, smaller than my hand," she shared.
"I saw what the intensive-care nurses do. They do God's work. Nick and I were both standing there as they intubated her. I don't know how they even found what they needed [in her tiny body] to intubate her."

Priyanka Chopra is talking about the first few difficult months following the birth of her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Chopra has earlier shared that her baby was born a trimester premature. She has spent her first 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). During her recent interview with British Vogue, Chopra talked about the first, scary few months that her daughter spent in the NICU, and said she "didn't know if she would make it or not." Opening up about the tough days, the 'Quantico' star recalled and shared that her daughter was "smaller than my hand" when she was born. "I was in the OR [operating room] when she came out. She was so small, smaller than my hand," she shared. "I saw what the intensive-care nurses do. They do God's work. Nick and I were both standing there as they intubated her. I don't know how they even found what they needed [in her tiny body] to intubate her." The actor is the only one from Bollywood who has a live band that travels across the globe and cherishes immense love from the audience. Farhan is one of the few actors from B-town who has made a special place in the hearts of the people with his band, 'Farhan Live'. He has performed on many international platforms over the years. SS Rajamouli to make a Hollywood film soon? Farhan took this opportunity to relive the golden moments of the musical journey of one of the most loved bands in India. Farhan Akhtar gets nostalgic as his band 'Farhan Live' completes 10 years

After all the major awards SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' has taken home at this year's international award season, all eyes are on January 24, when the most-awaited Oscar nominations will be announced. This may be exciting for all the Indians out there who desperately want Ram Charan and Jr. NTR's film to be nominated for an Academy Award, but not for director Rajamouli.

After months of promoting 'RRR' in the United States and submitting it for multiple awards categories at the Oscars, Rajamouli has made it clear that the only reason for making such a high-budget film is for box office numbers, not awards.

In his recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the 'Baahubali' director said, "I make films for money, I make films for the audiences. I don’t make films for critical acclaim."

RRR on a winning spree! All the big awards SS Rajamouli's directorial has won so far

Further, he stated,'' 'RRR' is a commercial film, and I'll be very happy if my film does well commercially. Awards are an extension of it. It is for the hard work that my unit has put in, and I am grateful.''

Rajamouli's comment came when his film is on a winning spree. The magnum opus has already made history by becoming the first Telugu film to win a Golden Globe. The movie has also bagged two Critics Choice Awards and two New York Critics Choice Awards, among others.

The film starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan has been shortlisted by the Academy Awards for its catchy song 'Naatu Naatu.' And there's a good chance that the film might get nominated.

For the uninitiated, the last Indian film that was nominated for an Oscar was Aamir Khan's 'Lagaan.'

However, despite becoming an unlikely frontrunner this award season, the film was not nominated for a British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA). Meanwhile, Shaunak Sen's critically acclaimed film 'All that Breathes' has scored a nomination in the 'Best Documentary' category.

SS Rajamouli calls 'RRR' a commercial film: 'I make films for money'

Our Puss is back with his magical boots! After a wait of 12 years, the audience has got the chance to see their favourite cat doing all the kick-ass stunts, and high jumps complete with his Spanish accent and to put it mildly, the wait was worth it. The sequel to the 2011 film 'Puss in Boots' has arrived with our beloved cat and this time with extra adventure and a double dose of fun and cuteness, of course!

After a decade, Joel Crawford takes us back to the world of legendary Puss in Boots, who has now adventurously lived his eight out of nine lives and despite being told by the doctor that its time to rest, the milk-loving cat continues to live his life in the way he used to, until the night when death as a black-hooded wolf (Wagner Moura) with sickles in his hands, comes his way. After this, the Puss (Antonio) decides to take shelter and starts living the normal life in the home of cat lady Mama Luna (Da'Vine Joy Randolph).

Leaving his grand life behind and running away from death, Puss buries his costume and starts living life in peace. Puss, who is now eating cat food and using a common toilet, befriends a super cute Perrito (Harvey Guillén), who is a dog but is living in a cat shelter. Despite where he goes and hides, we know that adventure will always follow him. Everything is good until the day he comes to know about the wishing star, and all thanks go to the Goldilocks (Florence Pugh) and the bear family, including Papa Bear (Ray Winstone), Mama Bear (Olivia Colman) and Baby Bear (Samson Kayo).

They all are after the magical star from which they can make any wish come true, and taking this as a last chance that can revive his lost lives, Puss again get into his boots and the adventures begin. Not just the bear family, but there are a lot of hurdles in the way, that Puss and his team including his ex-fiance Kitty soft paws (Salma) and of course Perrito have to overcome as they embark on a mission to find a wishing star through the dark forest.

The film written by Tommy Swerdlow and Tom Wheeler is about life and death. The almost two-hour film will keep you engaged from the first frame to the last - whether it's the film animation, the amusing one-liners, the villains and many other things that make this film a must-watch.

'Shotgun Wedding' movie reviews: What critics are saying about Jennifer Lopez's romcom

The one thing that makes this film more entertaining is that it's not all about Puss, it's about all the characters whether it is Kitty soft paws, Perrito, or the other villains. Every character is well-written and given a fair screen time.

The new addition to the decades-old franchise is a naive and chatty therapy dog Perrito, voiced by Harvey Guillén and he's the hero of the film. At one point you will feel bad for him, and at another moment, you just can't stop laughing at his silliness. (His character is so well-written and crafted that making a separate film on him would not be a bad idea after all.) Guillén's voice perfectly matches the vibe of the character.

The animation of the film is catchy and bright and after watching the film for 1 hour 40 minutes, your mind will crave something more. The live-action film is very well-written and drafted, whether it's the characters, dialogues, or fighting sequences.

Voiced by Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek, the film is filled with emotions and humour, and at the same time, it gives a hard-hitting message on life and enjoying the little things.

The animated thriller will make you laugh, and teach you the mantra of living in the moment and enjoying whatever comes our way.
The cast of the film has given an excellent voice performance, whether it's the Spanish accents of Antonio and Salma or the soft and touching voice of Mama Bear, played by 'The Crown' star Olivia Colman.
For me, this film is not just a funny, vibrant kids' movie, it's far more than that; it's poignant, heartwarming, full of action, adventure and a lot of little happy things that we tend to ignore.
'Puss in Boots: The Last Wish' is the new gem of the animation world that deserves a watch. Extra tip: If you are not a fan of Puss, then watch the film for Perrito, the cutest therapy dog.

Jung_E movie review: Train to Busan director's new sci-fi thriller is deeply emotional and exciting Leaving his grand life behind and running away from death, Puss buries his costume and starts living life in peace. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Puss In Boots (@pussinboots) × They all are after the magical star from which they can make any wish come true, and taking this as a last chance that can revive his lost lives, Puss again get into his boots and the adventures begin. 'Shotgun Wedding' movie reviews: What critics are saying about Jennifer Lopez's romcom The one thing that makes this film more entertaining is that it's not all about Puss, it's about all the characters whether it is Kitty soft paws, Perrito, or the other villains. The show revolves around an American college football coach who is hired to coach an English soccer team. The show debuted on a streaming platform in August 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic and was quick to become the audience's favourite, and all thanks go to folksy humour, and the poignant message the series gave among other things. More information about the third season has been kept under wraps. The first season of the critically acclaimed show made history by becoming the most nominated first-season comedy in the Emmy Awards. Out of 20, the series won four awards including, Best lead actor, Best Supporting Actor and Outstanding Comedy Series. Sudeikis also won the Golden Globe Award for his outstanding performance in Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy.

Madonna is planning to hit the roads soon! Many sources have confirmed that the Queen of Pop is secretly planning the greatest tour of her career. The 64-year-old songstress is planning to embark on the tour on her 40th career anniversary. For the tour, she has partnered with a longtime concert promotion partner and producer, Live Nation, and music manager Guy Oseary, according to Billboard. Madonna will celebrate the forty glorious years of her career with this tour, performing hits from her debut album, released in 1983, to the most recent one, 'Madame X,' released in 2019. Meet R’Bonney Gabriel, the new Miss Universe 2022 - see pics! "It’s going to be the biggest tour she’s ever done," one executive told Billboard, further revealing that the tour will be in both stadium and arena dates and will include over-the-top production that delivers both "Material Girl" kitsch and occasionally outrageous sex appeal with plenty of show-stopping moments made for social media. The tour will reportedly include a multi-night run at the O2 in London. She last performed at the O2 in 2015, when she was on her Rebel Heart tour. One source shared with The Sun that "Madonna is trying something completely new—aand really giving fans, young and old, what they want."
A reconciliation between Prince Harry and the British royal family could take place before the coronation of King Charles III in May, a report said on Saturday, following the publication of his scorching tell-all memoir 'Spare'. A source close to the king who also knows Harry and his wife Meghan told The Sunday Times that they believed a meeting would take place in coming months before the coronation on May 6.

"It’s going to take flexibility on all sides, but it can be done, it’s fixable," the newspaper quoted the source as saying in a report published on its website.

"It needs Harry over here, in the room with the King and Prince of Wales, a couple of other family members, some of 'his people' he trusts who always had his back, so he doesn’t think he’s being ambushed," the source added.

After months of anticipation and a blanket publicity blitz, Harry's book "Spare" went on sale Tuesday, clocking up a record 1.4 million English language sales in its first 24 hours.

"Both sides need to hold their hands up and admit we didn’t get everything right, and we got a lot wrong, and we have to say to him 'we understand the pain you’ve been through'. The King can do it," the source said.

Although the royal family has not commented on the book, the source said Harry's elder brother, heir to the throne Prince William was "burning inside" over his sibling's disloyalty.

"Not everyone here behaved well, but Harry’s got to be able to sit down and say ‘we didn’t behave well either’. That takes a lot of academic flexibility, which Harry isn’t great at," the source added

Harry, who accuses his brother in the book of pushing him to the ground in an altercation in 2019, has said he would like to reconcile with his family but that he needs "accountability" first. The source said time was now of the essence.

"We’ve got to move on it, and get it done by April. Then, we need to get the wives in. The King needs a clear run for the coronation."

Another royal source agreed, telling the newspaper, Harry and Meghan -- who quit royal life in the UK for California in 2020 -- must be invited in before the historic royal event.

If that didn't happen, the spiralling feud between the brothers would become "a circus and distraction".

In his blockbuster autobiography, Harry complains bitterly of his treatment as the second son of Charles and the late Princess Diana.

The book also details a string of often petty grievances after he became engaged to Meghan who has also complained she was not supported by the royals.

Public opinion in Britain has swung against Harry in the wake of the book's publication -- in the middle of the country's most serious cost of living crisis in a generation.

The huge success of 'Avatar: The Way of Water,' James Cameron's sequel which is approaching $2 billion at the global box office, proves that "movies are back with a resurgence" after the pandemic, the Canadian director said.

"We've had a year to see that this resurgence isn't just a fluke, or just one film," Cameron told AFP this week in Los Angeles, pointing to other recent mega-grossing blockbusters including 'Top Gun: Maverick' and 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.'

"You've seen a pattern," added Cameron, after having his handprints immortalized in cement at Hollywood's famous TCL Chinese Theatre.

"Avatar: The Way of Water" came 13 years after the original film, which remains the highest-grossing movie of all time, amassing $2.9 billion at the global box office.

Even if the sequel -- which transplants the 3D action to a new underwater setting -- does not quite scale those heights, it is already the seventh-biggest film of all time by ticket sales.

That remarkable success has helped to reinvigorate the movie theater industry, which has been slammed by competition from streamers, and apathy about the movie-going experience since the pandemic.

In the United States alone some 500 theaters have disappeared since the arrival of Covid-19 forced costly closures, according to the National Association of Theater Owners.

Cineworld -- the British group that owns America's second-largest theater chain Regal Cinemas -- is in the midst of restructuring after filing for bankruptcy last year.

But Cameron, the director of "Titanic," "The Terminator" and many more hits, remains firmly convinced about the viability and adaptability of cinema in the future.

"I don't think movies are ever gonna die," he said.

"We need this as culture, as a society. We need to go into these theaters into these big large spaces with hundreds of strangers."

While grand spectacle continues to draw younger crowds to giant multiplexes, auteur-driven and independent cinema is finding it increasingly hard to convince older audiences to leave their homes.

"I'm also seeing a pattern of the type of film that people will go to see in a movie theater and the type that they won't. And so streaming still has a very, very rich and important place," said Cameron.

The storyline allows Cameron, who is famously passionate about underwater exploration and is a vegetarian, to expand on the franchise's themes: protecting nature, and the threats posed to the environment by imperialism and capitalism.

But while it has torn audiences away from the comfort of their sofas, it has received a mixed reaction from critics.

It left this week's Golden Globes empty-handed, unlike its 2009 predecessor which won best drama and best director for Cameron.

It was not even nominated by Cameron's peers, the Directors Guild of America, for their own annual awards.

"That's in the nature of art. You can't please everybody," shrugged Cameron.

Critics "think a certain kind of earnestness, where you wear your heart on your sleeve, is unsophisticated or naive," he said.

"To me, that's a little bit of a pseudo-intellectual perspective."

Cameron pointed to the film's massive international appeal, citing data from its distributor that the sequel is "approaching being the number one film in the history of Ukraine."

"She's one. She's beautiful. It's amazing. The best," Nick added further.

Nick also talked about trying to be a "patient dad," as he talked about having personal goals this year. "I have some personal goals, some professional goals; there’s a lot on the personal front after being a new father, and that’s taking up most of my time."

While chatting, he also revealed that their daughter hasn't started walking yet, and he's also planning to take her on his tour this year.

SS Rajamouli left awestruck after meeting ace-director Steven Spielberg: 'I just met God'

"She hasn’t started walking yet, but yeah, when she does, I’ll need patience and comfortable shoes as I’ll be running after her." Nick said.

Last year in January, Nick and Priyanka announced through an Instagram post that they had welcomed a baby girl through a surrogate. The couple brought their daughter home from the hospital three months after her birth.

In the Mother's Day post, Priyanka revealed that her daughter had spent more than 100 days in the NICU.
