As reported by PTI, Arthur talked about Babar Azam and what impresses him the most about the Pakistan all-format captain. Arthur said speed of Babar's hands caught his attention first, and that, Arthur had never seen a talent like that in world cricket.

“What impressed me most were his hands, the speed of his hands. When Grant Bradburn first told me, look at this guy in the nets, I was amazed. I had never seen such hand speed and a talent like him, and the key was to give him opportunities to succeed,” Arthur said.

Arthur, who, in the past, had coached the Men in Green, knows a bit or two about every player. While&nbsp;specifically talking about Babar, Arthur said he always believed in him and even admitted that Babar Azam is the number one batter in the world right now. Arthur added he knows for a fact that the stylish right-handed batter will end up becoming the legend of the game.&nbsp;

“I knew he was going to become a key part of the team. I believe he is the number one batsman right now, and he is a wonderful, wonderful talent. I still think he has room for improvement. I will keep challenging him. He is going to be a legend of the game.” Arthur added.

Sharing his thoughts on returning to Pakistan Cricket, Arthur said it's his privilege to come back here, and this time, the aim will be to win the 2023 World Cup and help the Pakistan team stand tall across all formats.

“It’s a privilege for me; in fact, to come back and help, hopefully, win a World Cup, get us to number one in the world in all formats of the game because we certainly have the talent, certainly the players.”&nbsp;

Meanwhile, PCB chairman Najam Sethi recently said, as quoted by India Today, "We have made it very clear that unless the Asia Cup is held on a hybrid model like we have proposed, that is India playing its matches at an offshore venue and Pakistan hosting the remaining games at home, we will not accept any other schedule and neither play."

"We will not lose our hosting rights. Security is no excuse for them now and we have told them if their government is not giving them clearance to play in Pakistan, show us some written proof of this," Sethi added.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for this year's Asia Cup. It is set to be held in September ahead of this year's ODI WC in India, in October-November.

Meanwhile, as per a report in the Geo News earlier in Pakistan, the Islamabad Police refused to provide security, citing reasons that they don’t have resources for the same.

"The police does not have resources for providing security," the sources in the Police department told Geo News.

The sources further claimed that the police force is busy performing duties at free flour distribution centres, ongoing census, and other places that are related to the holy month of Ramadan.

While off the ten slated matches, five T20Is and as many ODIs, three of them – including two T20Is and one ODI will be played at the Pindi stadium; the touring New Zealand team will stay at a hotel in the capital city and will travel to Pindi for those games.

Following the two-match Test series against New Zealand in December-January early this year, the white-ball leg is about to begin in Lahore on April 14th. With the first three T20I games to take place in Lahore, the action will move to Rawalpindi for the next three matches before the final four games take place at the National Stadium in Karachi.

Given the senior Kiwi players have opted out of the tour owing to their participation in the Indian Premier League, New Zealand will be sending a relatively younger squad on this tour. Experienced campaigner Tom Latham will lead the side in Kane Williamson’s absence, who while playing in Gujarat Titans' first match against CSK injured his leg, and is now ruled out for an indefinite time.

Over time, the Indian board became powerful in terms of generating revenue through their premier T20 tournament in IPL and with their reach and engagement across all spheres. Elaborating on the same lines, Imran added that India’s ability to raise funds brought arrogance into their behaviour and that they almost dictate the terms in world cricket.

"It is unfortunate, the relationship between Pakistan and India. There is a lot of arrogance in the way India now behaves in the cricketing world as a superpower. Because of their ability to generate a lot of funds, a lot more than any other country, I think they almost dictate now as a sort of the arrogance of a superpower of whom they should play and who they shouldn't," said Imran.

Meanwhile, the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League began on Friday, March 31st and will go on till May 21st.

Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) stand on playing in India for ODI World Cup took another twist on Thursday after the latest report. According to a report from Asian News International (ANI), PCB wants its cricket team to play in Sri Lanka or Bangladesh in the ODI World Cup with their stand still not clear. The stand of Pakistan came into the limelight after India refused to play in Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023.

“Yes, we are thinking that we will not travel to India for World Cup matches if BCCI didn’t send their team to Pakistan for Asia Cup. We want Sri Lanka or Bangladesh to host our matches, we want to play there, and not in India,” a PCB source told ANI.

<h3>ICC clear air on Bangladesh option</h3>

After reports from ESPNcricinfo on Wednesday, Pakistan is exploring the option of using Bangladesh as a neutral venue for the ODI World Cup. According to the report, Bangladesh possesses perfect conditions similar to India and could help organise Pakistan’s matches.

However, International Cricket Council (ICC) officials said that Bangladesh was not an option for the showpiece event as a neutral venue. There were no discussions in the recently concluded ICC meetings on using Bangladesh as the neutral venue while India are exploring the option of using a neutral venue for the Asia Cup 2023 where Pakistan is the host.&nbsp;

"Bangladesh was not discussed at all at the Board meeting and full backing for the event [World Cup] in India was given by the Board. We're focused on that," an ICC official told Cricbuzz on Wednesday.

Earlier, Wasim had said that Pakistan might end up playing their 2023 World Cup matches at a neutral venue instead of India.

“I don’t think that Pakistan will play their World Cup matches in India. I think their matches will also be held at a neutral venue just like India’s Asia Cup matches,” Wasim told a local news channel.

We used to face security threats from India as well, but if permission is received from the government of both countries then the tour will happen. If the tour doesn't happen, we will give those people a chance. All they want is that there should be no cricket between them," Afridi further said.

India last toured Pakistan during the 2008 Asia Cup and in 2006 for the bilateral series. Although both last faced in a bilateral series in India in 2012/2013, since then have just squared off in ICC events only.

The final decision on the future of the 2023 Asia Cup will be decided in the ACC meeting scheduled for this month.

With the latest factory in Chennai setup at an estimated investment of Rs 150 crore&nbsp;($20 million) and the pre-existing factory in Pune, the firm looks to significantly scale up their manufacturing in India. The annual production will be scaled up to 1,20,000 AC drives and more than 2,00,000 PCBs.&nbsp;

Kentaro Yamaguchi, Head, Automation at Fuji Electric told WION that the automated equipment being used in India for surface mounting (placing small electronic components) on PCBs is the most sophisticated of its class. He said that even the Japanese factories of Fuji Electric did not have such advanced machines that can perform the surface mounting in a nearly 100% automated manner and in just a few seconds of time.&nbsp;

The company is also looking at generating a total of Rs 1500 crore in annual revenue in India by 2025. For financial year 2022-23, the officials revealed that their firm has already surpassed Rs 1,000 crore.&nbsp;

On their future plans, the company said that they would need to further expand their India operations in the next four years, if they are to surpass Rs.1500 crore in revenue. That scaling up would mean a further investment in India of Rs 400 crore or $50 million for a much larger factory.

Queried about the quality standards of their Indian-made products over the Japanese ones, Shivaji Waghmare, CEO, told WION that the quality was no different from the Japanese-made ones. "We use the same machines, same processes as in Japan and it is also setup by the Japanese teams. In fact, the machines that are in use in the latest factory in India are much more advanced than those in Japan", he added.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has come in support of their captain Babar Azam after he was falsely accused of 'sexting' with the girlfriend of another Pakistani cricketer.&nbsp;

"As our media partner, you might have considered ignoring such unsubstantiated personal allegations which Babar Azam has not deemed worthy of a response," tweeted PCB while quote tweeting Foxsports which published an article on the controversy.&nbsp;

The false allegations were first posted by a parody Twitter account named Dr Nimo Yadav which, incidentally had a Twitter blue&nbsp;verified account.

“Babar Azam sexting with GF of another Pakistan cricketer and promising her that her bf won’t be out of the team if she keeps sexting with him is just," read the now-deleted tweet.&nbsp;

Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed made a stunning return to the Test side with three back-to-back fifties and a hundred across four innings against New Zealand in the recently-concluded Test series. Ending the two-match series with 335 runs, Sarfaraz not only was leading the runs chart but also ensured his place in the team for the upcoming tours. Sarfaraz replaced Mohammad Rizwan in the Test side after the ranked number 2 batter in T20Is failed to leave an impact during the England Tests at home scoring a mere 141 runs across six innings at an average of 23.50.

Following Sarfaraz coming-of- age hundred against the Kiwis in the second innings of the Karachi Test, new interim chief selector, Shahid Afridi had some encouraging words for him. While Afridi praised Sarfaraz for showing character and delivering it for the team, he made it clear that Mohammad Rizwan will remain Pakistan’s main keeper-batter in white-ball format at least.

Later, Sethi also slammed Shah in an exclusive interaction with Sports Tak. In the interview, he slammed BCCI saying 'it is an independent board' and not reliant on the government to finalise whether to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023 and feels if India doesn't want to visit their neighbouring country for the continental tournament, Pakistan also have a right to ask for the ODI World Cup to be held elsewhere.

'What type of standards are these?'

Sethi said, "If you won't come to Pakistan and then say come to India. What type of standards are these? I believe that politics should be kept far aside. BCCI is an independent board but ours (PCB) is linked to the government. So definitely we have to take many permissions from the government but the BCCI considers itself as an independent and private unit then such type of politics isn't necessary." He stated, "What is neutral venue? Why should we host our tournament in a neutral country? Let's play the 2023 World Cup match between India and Pakistan at a neutral venue in Australia then."

Sethi asserted, "Earlier also Mr Jay Shah gave a statement in which my predecessor Mr Ramiz Raja was not happy with that and expressed disappointment. He announced before that we (India) won't play against Pakistan in Pakistan." He added, "So the thing is on one side you want Pakistan to come and play the World Cup (2023) in India. On the other end, you say we don't want to go to Pakistan to play the Asia Cup. Tomorrow when the Champions Trophy will be played in Pakistan, won't you play that as well?."

While the Asia Cup has been confirmed to be held in September, there is nothing official regarding which country will host the event. Moreover, Pakistan have threatened to boycott the 2023 ODI World Cup, in India, if they are deprived of hosting rights for the continental event. Hence, some big decisions are on the way with regard to both events.

Pakistan are also scheduled to host the 2025 Champions Trophy. Hence, a lot will depend on how things pan out this year before the next CT, i.e. regarded as a mini version of the WC.
