<p>Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani is all set to join the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) franchise ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Lucknow have been looking for a replacement after England pacer Mark Wood was ruled out of the upcoming season due to an injury.</p>

<p>Lucknow Super Giants had first approached the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to rope in Taskin Ahmed as a replacement for Wood for IPL 2022. However, the BCB refused to provide a No Objection Certificate to the Bangladesh pacer to take part in the league. Taskin is currently with the Bangladesh squad on their ongoing tour of South Africa.</p>

<p>After failing to land Taskin, Lucknow have identified Muzarbani as one of their prime targets. It is not yet known whether the Zimbabwe pacer will join the franchise as Wood's replacement or a net bowler for IPL 2022. The official Twitter handle of the Indian Ambassador in Zimbabwe confirmed Muzarbani's departure from his country for India to join Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022.</p>

<p>"I have come out of it entirely now. It endured a stress fracture on my shin when we playing the World Test Championship final in England. About 2-3 days later, when the match ended, that night, I was in a lot of pain with my shin. I was in pain for almost 7-8 hours. I had no issues with my shin. I had never faced any problem with it whatsoever. It was quite shocking for me… to be in pain for 7-8 hours in the night. When I told the physio next day, they got an MRI done and that is where I found out that there’s a fracture in the shin," Gill told Sports Tak in an interview.</p>

"I think you can still see the goosebumps coming out because always I'm a big fan of Mahi bhai and, especially CSK. I had a chat with Mahi bhai as recently as yesterday. He asked me to do a few things and I told him I'll definitely get it done. When Mahi bhai asks you to do something, consider it done," Dube told CSK.</p>

<p>England all-rounder Moeen Ali's availability is uncertain for his side Chennai Super Kings (CSK)'s opening clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 due to a visa issue. CSK are scheduled to take on KKR in the opening game of the IPL 2022 season at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 26.</p>

<p>Moeen, who is an integral member of the CSK squad, is currently stuck in London as his visa to India has not been approved yet. The England star is waiting for his visa to get processed to leave for India and join CSK's camp ahead of the start of the new season.</p>

<p>CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said the franchise or the player has no idea why his visa has been delayed but expressed confidence that the matter will be sorted out soon. Viswanathan said Moeen will be on the next flight to India as soon as his visa is cleared.</p>

<p>“I prefer Virat Kohli batting at No. 3. I feel he can pace the game very well from there whether he comes to bat in the powerplay or after that," said Jaffer.</p>

<p>“He’s somebody who takes some time initially and then his strike rate progressively goes up. In the powerplay, it seems as he forces himself a bit to hit by using the crease which I don’t think is his game. He’s obviously been successful as well but I think he plays better at No. 3," he added.</p>

Buttler has been one of the key figures in the RR dressing over the years and was one of the players to be retained by the franchise ahead of the mega auction this year.</p>

<p>Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra has reacted to the decision of a number of prominent South African cricketers to prioritise Indian Premier League (IPL) over playing for their nationl team by skipping the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh at home for IPL 2022. South African players with an IPL contract have not been named in their country's Test squad for the two-match series against Bangladesh.</p>

<p>South African skipper Dean Elgar, who had earlier requested his players to not skip the Test series against Bangladesh, has now been left with a number of first-choice players and an almost second-fiddle squad for the two Tests against the visitors. South Africa are scheduled to play three ODIs followed by two Tests against Bangladesh.</p>

<p>While the IPL-bound players will be part of the ODI series, they will travel to India following the conclusion of the three limited-overs games and skip the two Tests against Bangladesh. The Proteas players' decision to head to the IPL and not turn up for their national team has once again raised the club vs country debate with regards to the Indian Premier League.</p>

<p>Reacting to the move by the South African stars, former India cricketer Chopra asked if IPL has started bullying cricket boards across the globe? However, the popular commentator defended IPL by stating that CSA itself issues no-objection certificates to the players and also earns a part of the players' salary from IPL.</p>

<p>"The question that stems from this is - Is club bigger than the country? The club versus country debate has caught a little fire again. Dean Elgar had said this will be a loyalty test. The question is - Is IPL bullying the other boards?" said Chopra in a video on his YouTube channel.</p>

<p>"IPL has not said anything, IPL in fact says that when Cricket South Africa gives the NOC (No Objection Certificate), they get 10% from the players' salary. This is how the market of international cricket works," he added.</p>
