<p>Actor John Boyega has criticized Disney for its treatment of non white characters in the recent 'Star Wars' films.<br />
In an interview published in GQ magazine, Boyega has opened up about how Disney faded non-white characters in the background in the 'Star Wars' films. Boyega said while they were all marketed as important characters of the franchise, they were ultimately "pushed to the side".</p>

<p>In an interview published by GQ magazine on Wednesday, Boyega expressed bitterness over how his role as black stormtrooper Finn faded in the later episodes of the trilogy which concluded with 'The Rise of Skywalker' in 2019.</p>

<p>"What I would say to Disney is do not bring out a black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are, and then have them pushed to the side. It's not good. I'll say it straight up," Boyega said.<br />

The actor revealed that it was just not him who got sidelined, but other non-white actors like Naomi Ackie, Kelly Marie Tran and Oscar Isaac had suffered similar fates while Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley's characters got more prominence in the lead roles as Kylo Ren and Rey.<br />
<br />
"They gave all the nuance to Adam Driver, all the nuance to Daisy Ridley. Let's be honest. Daisy knows this. Adam knows this. Everybody knows. I'm not exposing anything," Boyega said.<br />
<br />
Boyega, who is of Nigerian origin, became a viral sensation in June when he gave an emotion-packed speech at an anti-racism demonstration in London following the death of George Floyd at the hands of American police in Minneapolis.</p>

<p>"I'm the only cast member who had their own unique experience of that franchise based on their race," Boyega said of Star Wars. "Let's just leave it like that.</p>

<p>"It makes you angry with a process like that. It makes you much more militant; it changes you."</p>

<p>Camila Cabello’s film titled ‘Cinderella’ will resume filming as COVID-19 restrictions in the UK as well as in other parts of the world have started to relax. Backed by Sony, the film will return to production after everything had shut down because of the pandemic.</p>

<p>Directed by Kay Cannon, ‘Cinderella’ is resuming filming outside of London with some low-level shooting commencing this week as the production felt safe and organised enough to move ahead. Filming is expected to continue through the end of September.</p>

<p>Those returning for the production include stars like Camila Cabello as Cinderella, Minnie Driver as Queen Beatrice, Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Robert, Idina Menzel as the Stepmother, and Pierce Brosnan.</p>

<p>For precaution, actors and crew are staying separately in apartments. Rehearsals have begun with the production crew and actors wearing masks. There have been no intermingling among production departments, and there’s been less crew-member presence on the set during filming.</p>

<p>It’s reported that there will also be no buffet style set-up for food but individually wrapped and pre-boxed food to ensure safety.</p>

Depp is suing the publisher and executive editor of The Sun tabloid in London's High Court over a 2018 story accusing him of beating his 34-year old former wife.<br />
<br />
The star-studded trial is due to conclude after three weeks of sometimes shocking revelations and allegations next Tuesday.<br />
<br />
The Sun says it can back up its claim with 14 examples of Depp's alleged violent behaviour in the three years preceding Heard's 2016 decision to file for divorce.<br />
<br />
Their two-year marriage formally ended in January 2017.<br />
<br />
Heard said on her fourth and final day of testimony that the two "had had a wonderful year together where he was sober and clean and that is how I got to know him".<br />
<br />
"I loved him and I didn't want to lose that. The other side of him was a monster, but I always held out hope that he would get clean and sober," she said.<br />
<br />
Depp kicked off the hearings by admitting that he would become a "monster" when going off on days-long binges that saw him mix cocaine with powerful prescription pain killers and various other drugs.<br />
<br />
"The Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise hero tried to get treatment for his addiction on his private island in the Bahamas in 2015.<br />
<br />
<strong>- 'I didn't want this' -</strong><br />

Depp accuses Heard of being the aggressor in their altercations and staging photos of her alleged injuries for personal gain.<br />

The Sun's lawyer Sasha Wass asked Heard about Depp's allegation that the actress was trying to "benefit financially" by accusing him of abuse.<br />
<br />
"No," Hear replied. "What woman has ever benefited from being the victim of domestic violence?"<br />
<br />
Heard said she was "entitled to 50 percent" of her 57-year-old former husband's assets "without having to prove anything happened in the marriage, bad or good".<br />
<br />
She concluded her testimony by saying she was speaking out now because "more and more attacks were coming out against me and accusing me of being a liar".<br />
<br />
"I didn't want to do this, I didn't want to expose the totality of what really happened to me," she said.<br />
<br />
"I didn't want to put Johnny (in a position) where the world or his kids would know fully what he was or what he could do. It's embarrassing."<br />
<br />
Friday's hearing will include evidence from Heard's sister Whitney.<br />
<br />
The defence is due to rest its case on Monday and Depp's team is expected to make a closing statement Tuesday.</p>
