City striker Ferran Torres had a number of good chances in the first half but Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel was alert.
Brighton`s excellent start to the campaign continued with their third victory in four league games.

Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will have a role to play in the Premier League match against Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Portuguese will definitely make his second debut for the club, the United boss confirmed at a press conference on Friday. Ronaldo has been training with his new teammates for the first time this week as the team prepares to welcome Steve Bruce`s side to Old Trafford at the weekend.

Jesse Lingard revealed why he copied Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic goal celebration during the World Cup qualifying match between England and Andorra on Sunday (September 5). He said it was "a little welcoming gift" for the Portuguese superstar to Manchester United. Lingard scored twice and substitute Harry Kane netted from the spot before a late goal from Bukayo Saka as England defeated Andorra 4-0, making it five wins from five matches in Group I on the road to Qatar 2022. Manchester United forward Lingard, out of favour at Old Trafford, opened the scoring in the 18th minute — his first international goal since 2018.
Lacklustre Juventus began life without Cristiano Ronaldo by suffering a suprising 1-0 defeat at home to promoted Empoli in Serie A on Saturday.
Juve, who this week agreed a deal with Manchester United to sell Ronaldo to the Premier League club, looked shorn of ideas up front in the Portuguese forward`s absence.
Other than some fierce Federico Chiesa strikes from range, the hosts did not threaten to score in the first half as Empoli edged into a surprise lead when captain Leonardo Mancuso swept the ball home at the far post in the 21st minute.
After the break, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri introduced Alvaro Morata, Dejan Kulusevski and new signing Manuel Locatelli from the bench but, even with all that firepower on the pitch, they created few openings of note.

Lionel Messi`s new club Paris St Germain will play Manchester City, managed by the Argentine`s former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola, after being drawn together in Champion`s League Group A on Thursday. Messi joined Qatari-owned PSG, who will also face Bundesliga side RB Leipzig and Belgium`s Brugge, from Barcelona this month after the Spanish side were unable to afford a new contract for the forward.

The draw pits two of European soccer`s wealthiest teams against each other once again as they both seek a first Champions League title, with City beating the French side 4-1 on aggregate in last season`s semis.

Abu Dhabi-owned City went on to lose the final to Premier League rivals Chelsea, who were drawn in Group H against Juventus, Zenit St Petersburg and Malmo.
City have yet to lose to PSG in the Champions League but Messi has also scored more goals against them -- six in six games -- than any other side in the competition.

Spanish champions Atletico Madrid and Liverpool were drawn in a tricky Group B with former winners Porto and AC Milan, while Real Madrid play Inter Milan, Shakhtar Donetsk and Moldovan debutants Sheriff Tiraspol in Group D.

Inter, Shakhtar and Real were also in the same group last time around with the Italian side finishing last.
Barcelona were drawn in Group E with Bayern Munich, Benfica and Dynamo Kyiv. Manchester United will have another meeting with Spain`s Villarreal, a repeat of this year`s Europa League final, in Group F along with Atalanta and Swiss side Young Boys.
Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo mulling transfer to Manchester City: Reports

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri said Cristiano Ronaldo has told him that he will stay at the club this season, something the new boss believes guarantees goals for the Serie A giants.

Ronaldo has been linked with a move to a host of clubs this summer, with reports in Spain suggesting he could return to Real Madrid, while the Italian media speculated the 36-year-old has been offered to Premier League champions Manchester City.

"He has always trained well, I just read the gossip in the papers. He never told us he wanted to leave," Allegri told a news conference ahead of his side`s season opener at Udinese on Sunday.

"Ronaldo told me that he is staying at Juventus.

"He is an added bonus for us, because he guarantees a large number of goals. Obviously, we also have to work as a team to get the best out of an individual."

Allegri is back at Juventus for a second spell having taken over from Andrea Pirlo, who disappointed in his only season in charge of the Turin side, steering the club to a fourth-placed finish in Serie A last term.

The Italian tactician`s five seasons at the helm from 2014 to 2019 brought five league titles, four Coppa Italia wins and two runners-up finishes in the Champions League.

"There must be doubts and uncertainties about me and that creates more attention and concentration, even when things go well," Allegri added.

"This year will be like every year - Juve aims to win all competitions. It will be a balanced championship, to win you have to be consistent.

"We must realise that in order to win the Scudetto, we need daily work that is physical, technical and mental. If we are still in the running for the title in March, that means the team has found its balance."
