Federer’s initial surgery took place just before the COVID-19 outbreak and as all sporting events were either cancelled or postponed, the Swiss star didn’t miss any events. Fans were eagerly waiting to see Federer step up in the US Open and French Open later in the year 2020.

However, with such a long time on the sidelines, it remains to be seen whether the veteran can regain his peak fitness and form. The world No. 4 is set to turn 39 next year.
