Argentina vs Morocco Football match at Paris Olympics 2024
The Paris Olympic Games 2024 men's football match between Argentina and Morocco descended into chaos after fans threw objects and invaded the pitch on Wednesday (Jul 24).
Morocco was leading 2-1 before Cristian Medina scored an equaliser in the 16th minute of the 15-minute injury time at the end of second half.
The goal was a chaotic one itself with several hits and misses before the ball finally went it the goal-post. Have a look at the goal below:
The goal invoked unruly response from Atlas Lions fans as threw bottles and invaded the pitch after the referee blew the final whistle. Have a look at the videos below:
A message on the stadium screen was then displayed that read: "Your session has been suspended please make your way to the nearest exit."

The drama didn't there as the game was halted for nearly two hours before the players walked in again to complete the remaining three minutes of the game.
By then, however, the equalizer by Argentina's Medina was disallowed after a VAR review by the referees and game started with 2-1 lead to Morocco.
The score remained the same till the referee blew the final whistle again and Morocco were handed a win.
Argentina are looking to win men's football gold for the third time after success in 2004 and 2008, but Javier Mascherano's side trailed 2-0 following a brace by Soufiane Rahimi.
Morocco captain Achraf Hakimi, the Paris Saint-Germain full-back who is one of the biggest names featuring in the tournament, set up Rahimi for the opener at the end of a fine move in first-half stoppage time.
The reigning African Under-23 champions doubled their lead six minutes into the second half from the penalty spot, UAE-based forward Rahimi stroking in the spot-kick after Ilias Akhomach was brought down.
