Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has landed in another controversy, again in Dallas. According to The Dallas Morning News, Rice is a suspect in an assault case that injured a man at a Dallas nightclub earlier this week, confirmed the police.

As per the report by the newspaper citing police as source, officers were sent after the reports of an assault early Monday (May 6) morning at a nightclub. A man was taken to the hospital with injuries that were non-life threatening in nature including swelling on one side of his face. No charges of an assault have been filed as of Tuesday (May 7).

Both, the Chiefs and Rice's attorney have declined to comment on the incident so far.

The 24-year-old is already facing trouble in a seven-car crash incident that took place earlier in March. The crash, which happened on a Dallas freeway, rendered at least seven people injured for which Rice is facing multiple charges.

According to a police, Rice is facing one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury. He was driving his vehicle at 119 mph according a police affidavit obtained by the Morning News.

The round 2 pick of NFL Draft 2023 played an important role in the Chiefs' Super Bowl defending season. He played in 16 games in the regular season, going 938 yards in 79 attempts, averaging 11.9 yards per carry. He also registered seven touchdowns in the regular season.

In the postseason, Rice played in all four games, receiving the ball 26 times and amassing 262 yards at an average of 10.1 yards per carry. He also recorded one touchdown in the postseason.
