Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has landed in another controversy, again in Dallas. According to The Dallas Morning News, Rice is a suspect in an assault case that injured a man at a Dallas nightclub earlier this week, confirmed the police.

As per the report by the newspaper citing police as source, officers were sent after the reports of an assault early Monday (May 6) morning at a nightclub. A man was taken to the hospital with injuries that were non-life threatening in nature including swelling on one side of his face. No charges of an assault have been filed as of Tuesday (May 7).

Both, the Chiefs and Rice's attorney have declined to comment on the incident so far.

The 24-year-old is already facing trouble in a seven-car crash incident that took place earlier in March. The crash, which happened on a Dallas freeway, rendered at least seven people &nbsp;injured for which Rice is facing multiple charges.

According to a police, Rice is facing one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and six counts of collision involving injury. He was driving his vehicle at 119 mph according a police affidavit obtained by the Morning News.

The round 2 pick of NFL Draft 2023 played an important role in the Chiefs' Super Bowl defending season. He played in 16 games in the regular season, going 938 yards in 79 attempts, averaging 11.9 yards per carry. He also registered seven touchdowns in the regular season.

Halley Kate was walking down Chelsea's West 16th Street when she fell, according to police, after Stora smacked her in the head. Stora was walking his dog at the time of the attack, according to Kate's TikTok video. 
 
Authorities revealed that Stora had previously been accused of attacking other women.

Kate's video served as a catalyst for other women on TikTok to share their own experiences of random attacks. One such individual, Mikayla Toninato, posted a video on the same day, tagging Kate and recounting a similar incident that occurred to her.

"I was looking down at my phone, texting, and then, out of nowhere, this man just came up and hit me in the face," Toninato explained in the video.

It is unclear whether Toninato filed a police report or if the NYPD launched an investigation into the incident.

The high court in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, on Friday (Sep 29), upheld the convictions of over 200 people and sentenced them to various prison terms for committing atrocities on the residents of Vachathi village in the year 1992 which included heinous crimes like cruelty, rape and looting village properties.

The convicts included officials from the forest, police as well as revenue departments of Tamil Nadu.&nbsp;

Justice P Velmurugan, on Friday, also ordered the government to provide an immediate compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to all the 18 women who were victims of sexual assault during the infamous incident.

He further directed the government to recover 50 per cent of the amount from the accused who committed the offence.

Dismissing appeals from the accused, Justice Velmurugan said, "In view of the above discussion and for the foregoing reasons, this court finds all the accused have committed the charged offences. There are no merits in these appeals. All the criminal appeals stand dismissed as devoid of merits. The trial court is directed to secure the custody of the accused to serve the remaining period of sentence, if any". &nbsp;

The incident took place on Jun 20, 1992, when the police teams raided the village along with forest and revenue officials who were searching for smuggled sandalwood at Vachathi village in Dharmapuri district. The assault on the villagers continued for about three days who were considered as "silent supporters" of notorious sandalwood smuggler Veerappan.

In the year 2011, a lower court in Dharmapuri had convicted and sentenced 215 men to prison terms ranging from 1 to 10 years.&nbsp;

Judge permits Harvey Weinstein's former assistant to testify in sexual assault case

A court in China has dropped a case against a former Alibaba manager who was accused by a female colleague of sexual assault.

The district court in north-eastern Shandong province said the “forcible indecency” committed by the man, identified as Wang, was not a crime.

The former manager, whose last name is Wang, was detained in August after the women accused him of sexual assault while they were on a business trip to the northern Chinese city of Jinan.

Police said the investigation was closed but added that Wang will remain under detention for 15 days “as punishment”.

On Weibo, Wang's wife thanked his team of lawyers in a post on Tuesday. She previously accused the female employee of framing her husband for sexual misconduct.

Her allegations were widely shared on Chinese social media, drawing widespread criticism online, with many lamenting the lack of protection for women in sexual assault cases.

Facing severe backlash, Alibaba fired Wang, while the two executives who failed to act on the allegation also resigned.

Later, the company issued a statement, saying, “Alibaba Group has a zero-tolerance policy against sexual misconduct, and ensuring a safe workplace for all our employees is Alibaba’s top priority.”

"The Queensland Police Service is currently investigating a complaint in relation to an allegation of assault of an aggravated nature involving an athlete and an official from the Mauritius team," Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski told reporters.

"This is a criminal investigation that is currently underway. We are giving is absolute priority and anticipate being able to resolve the issue over the coming days."

Gollschewski told AFP that the complaint related to "inappropriate touching", adding that there were no travel restrictions in place against the alleged offender.

Thousands of athletes and team staff have flooded into Gold Coast, a resort city in eastern Australia, for the Games, with about 6,600 staying at the official village.

Games chief executive David Grevemberg said he had "grave concern" about the situation, which follows a number of abuse scandals in sport including the jail term of up to 175 years handed to US gymnastics coach Larry Nassar in January.

"Thee absolutely zero tolerance for the poor or abusive behaviour of any nature. There's just no place for that at the Commonwealth Games," Grevemberg said.

No immediate comment was available from the Mauritian team, which has more than 50 athletes competing in a range of sports.

An hour after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Parkash Jarwal was arrested by the Delhi Police, another party legislator Amanatullah Khan surrendered at the Jamia Nagar Police Station on Wednesday.&nbsp;

Khan, who was named in the complaint filed by Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, claimed innocence saying he decided to surrender since he had done nothing wrong.

He was later arrested by police.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, Jarwal was detained last night in connection with the alleged assault and was arrested on Wednesday morning.&nbsp;
