'I didn’t like the way it affected my kids': NFL legend Tom Brady regrets Netflix roast

Tom Brady, the legendary NFL quarterback who was recently in the headlines for the Netflix roast, regrets being a part of it now. The show saw several comic actors poke fun at Brady and his personal and professional life. His divorce from ex-wifeGisele Bündchen was also often brought up during the course of the show. Brady says that while the jokes were fun, they affected his kids.

“I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun,” Brady said on The Pivot Podcast about the Netflix roast. “I didn’t like the way that it affected my kids, so it’s the hardest part about like the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realise I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world.”

The 46-year-old, who spent two decades at New England Patriots in theNFLis a public attraction inbothentertainment and sports. He appeared on the popular show at the request of close friend Jeff Ross but was later left clueless about some off-limit jokes. However, Bradyis now regrettingthe appearance and has vowed not to return to the show any time soon.

Having retired in 2022, Brady has made headlines for the wrong reasonsin recent timeswhichhave seen him being the focal point.His collective decision to sack Birmingham City manager John Eustace in October 2023was metwithhugecriticism. Eustace’s successorWayneRooneywasa disaster signing for the club as new managerashe only led them to two wins. LaterRooneywas sacked while Birmingham’s struggles continued.

Ultimately, unpopular and out-of-box decisions by Brady and Co at the English side’s helm saw the club get relegated on the final day of the Championship season.
