Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Dr Jitendra Singh visited Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Tuesday (July 21) to enquire about the health of activist Sonam Wangchuk.
The visit, reported by ANI, comes amid concerns over Wangchuk's health, though the minister or the hospital has issued no official statement regarding his condition. Further details are awaited.
Wangchuk was discharged from Safdarjung Hospital earlier in the evening and shifted to Medanta for further treatment in compliance with a Delhi High Court order, officials said.
A source told PTI that the two Union ministers met Wangchuk after his transfer to the private hospital. He arrived at Medanta in an ambulance at around 7.30 pm under tight security and was admitted to ICU 8.
A Medanta Hospital official said Wangchuk's treatment has begun under the supervision of Dr Sushila Kataria, an internal medicine specialist.

Earlier in the day, the Delhi High Court directed that Wangchuk be shifted immediately from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, where a specialised team of doctors with the required expertise would monitor his condition.
Safdarjung Hospital said Wangchuk was discharged at 6.40 pm and handed over to the Medanta medical team for further care in compliance with the court's order.
"At the time of discharge, his vital parameters were stable. However, pancytopenia persists, and his serum potassium level was 3.4 mEq/L," the hospital said in a statement.
The hospital added that all relevant medical records, investigation reports and treatment documents were handed over to the receiving medical team to ensure continuity of care.
