IPL squad analysis: Rajasthan Royals lack batting strength after Steve Smith's ouster

Rajasthan Royals, the winner of Indian Premier League's inaugural edition, have marked an exciting return after a two-year ban with a very special and important cricketer, Shane Warne, not as a player but as a mentor.

If we talk about the team, Rajasthan Royals had retained an aggressive and intense Australian batsman Steve Smith before entering the auctions but after the recent ball-tampering controversy, Steve Smith has been ruled out from the upcoming edition of IPL.

The incident happened in the third Test match of a four-match series between Australia and South Africa.

With Smith's ouster, the backbone of the batting order has been shattered.
