Punjab skipper R Ashwin was left fuming after Andre Russell had a lucky escape at the Eden Gardens.

Punjab were under the pump after hard-hitting fifties from Nitish Rana and Robin Uthappa but it was Russell's 17-ball cameo that took the game away from the Kings.
However, Mohammed Shami had dismissed Russell with a sharp yorker but when Shami went to take his cap from the umpire, things took a new turn as the umpire had ruled it a no-ball as there were only three fielders inside the circle - there needed to be at least four.

Punjab's players were surprised with skipper R Ashwin talking to the umpire about it.

It is not yet clear whether it was the captain's mistake or whether the fourth fielder had stepped outside the circle before the ball was bowled.

But for Kolkata, it was the best decision as Russell slammed three boundaries and five sixes to help Riders set 219 runs target.

He eventually fell to Andrew Tye on the fourth ball of the 19th ball.
