England footballer Gary Lineker throws light on 'It's coming home' song to 'non-English fans'

Former England player Gary Lineker took to Twitter to explain the meaning of the famous football song "Three Lions."
Addressing the "non-English football fans", Gary said, "Football's coming home is a fun song highlighting the lack of success of our football team for decades. No one really thought we'd win it. I totally get why you might think it was arrogance, but it’s more our self-deprecatory sense of humour."

When England reached the semi-finals, this song became very popular but Harry Kane-led team was ousted by stubborn Croats in the semis that led to some accusations that England fans were being overconfident of their team's chances.
After the match, Croatian captain Luka Modric accused English media of being arrogant but former football legend Gary Lineker said that the song certainly wasn't being sung in an arrogant way.
