Earlier, it was reported by Geo News that Pakistan was given official instructions to return to their rooms, with the team bus parking outside the entrance to unload the players’ equipment.
The Pakistan cricket team’s demands for a change in match referee Andy Pycroft have been turned down by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), as their clash against the UAE in the Asia Cup 2025 will go ahead. After reports of a boycott, the Pakistan team initially delayed arriving at the stadium in Dubai, but at the time of reporting, the match was set to go ahead. Earlier, it was reported that the Pakistan team stayed back at their hotel with reports of a boycott making headlines.
Pakistan vs UAE to go ahead in Asia Cup

However, the latest development sees the Pakistan team leave for the Dubai International Stadium. Pakistan’s match against the UAE was supposed to start at 7:30 PM IST, but their reported boycott had seen the match get delayed.
The match had a lot riding on it as the winner would advance to the Super Four while the loser would miss out. In case Pakistan win the match, they will play India in the Super Four round on Sunday (Sep 21).
