3rd T201: India beat England by 7 wickets, clinch series

Rohit Sharma's ton and Hardik Pandya's four-wicket haul plus 33 runs cameo, powered India to victory against England in the third and final T20I on Sunday.

Sharma slammed his third T20 century in 56 balls which included 11 boundaries and 5 sixes.

Chasing a mammoth target of 199 runs, the right-handed opener was in attacking form from the very first ball, with India reaching 201 for the loss of three-wickets.

His ally Hardik Pandya played perfect cameo and slammed 33 runs in just 14 balls. He hit a six on the last ball and to give India 2-1 win in T20 series.

Even with the ball, he clinched four crucial wickets to put a break on England's inning.

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan once again failed to contribute a good score and went back to the pavilion after making just five runs.

First T20I Centurian KL Rahul was also sent back early on 19.

It was then skipper Virat Kohli took the wheel in his hands estlabished over 80 runs partnership.

Earlier, England depleted Indian bowling attack to set a mammoth 199 runs target.

Openers Jason Roy and Jos Buttler played phenomenal innings to give the English side a perfect start. the two went on to establish 94 runs partnership before Buttler lost his wicket to Siddarth Kaul.

It was then, the Indian bowlers felt motivated and took wickets on regular intervals to put a halt on England's pace of scoring runs.

Earlier, Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bowl first in the third and last game of the T20I series against England.

England won the second Twenty20 International to level the series at 1-1.
