Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a farewell dinner on Saturday for outgoing President Pranab Mukherjee.
The dinner was attended by President-elect Ram Nath Kovind, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, senior ministers, and various Opposition leaders, PTI reported.
At the dinner, Modi presented Mukherjee, who leaves office on Monday, with a memento.
News reports said Mukherjee, 82, had no less than 25 engagements to go to in his last 72 hours in office.
On Sunday, Mukherjee will be given a farewell by MPs in the Central Hall of Parliament.
Mukherjee, who is also the supreme commander of the armed forces, was given a farewell by the Chiefs of Staff Committee on Friday, PTI reported.
