India and Nepal hold delegation level talks, sign multiple pacts

The Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba sought India's help for development plans in Nepal
India and Nepal today signed multiple agreements following delegation level talks between the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Nepalese counterpart Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The two countries inked pacts in different spheres including education, health, culture, prevention illicit trafficking in Narcotic drugs among others.
Deuba hailed the Neighbourhood First policy of the Indian Prime Minister.
Earlier, the Nepalese Prime Minister, who is on afive-day visit to India, met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought India's support for Nepal for development plans.
Deuba said that India and Nepal sharehistrical ties and his visit is aimed at enhancing the partnership among the two neighbours.

"India has played an important part in our development efforts and we request Prime Minister Modi to support us more for development plans and first to build trust and understanding to expand our relations," Deuba said.
He also met the external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj.
