While humans are advancing to the age of using automation and artificially intelligent technologies, our furry friends may be confused or cautious of them. A video has surfaced on social media showing a humorous exchange between real dogs and a robot dog.
The clip shows a robot dog approaching and attempting to interact with three dogs. One of the dogs jogs towards the robot dog, curious about what it is just as the robot moves in its direction. When the dog reaches close enough, it watches it cautiously and then runs away, looking scared. The robot dog even stops and waves at the small dog.

The robot then follows the second dog, bigger than the first one, who appears equally scared and rushes away. Humorously, the robot can be seen running and chasing after the two dogs, as the scared pets attempt to get far away.
The four-legged machine walks smoothly first on the path and then on the uneven surface of the grass, without any trouble. While the silver and grey-coloured robot dog lacks a tail, it balances itself well.
The caption read, “Robot dogs are designed to mimic the appearance, behaviour, and functions of real dogs. These robots come in various forms, ranging from simple toy-like versions to advanced models equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) and sophisticated sensors.”
The video is shared on X by Wevolver, a tech company. According to their bio, “Wevolver is the platform that provides the knowledge and connections to develop better technology.”
The company has shared various videos of robotics and engineering and has a following of over 48.7k on its X handle. As per their website, their team is based across five continents and is listed among the Top 20 Most Innovative Web-platforms by Fast Company, an American monthly business magazine.
