Visuals from India Gate showed near-zero visibility in the national capital, with people seeking refuge in night shelters in Safdarjung to escape the harsh weather.
Vegpal Singh, a local said that people in the night shelters were providing two meals a day, along with proper bedding and blankets for the people staying there.
"The people who are taking refuge in the night shelters here are being provided with two-time meals and proper bed and blankets. If there are any medical treatments needed, we take them to AIIMS hospital which is nearby.." said Singh.
On January 11, light rain was witnessed in the national capital and the temperature dropped to 7.7 degrees Celsius, as per IMD.
Several parts of North India were engulfed in a thick layer of fog this morning.

In a shocking incident, two men in India, who were also food vendors, were found dead in their rented accommodation on Saturday (Jan 11) in Noida&rsquo;s Sector 70 after a pot of 'chhole' (chickpeas) was left on a gas stove overnight, filling their room with smoke, according to media reports.
<h2 dir="ltr">Neighbours help, but victims declared dead at hospital</h2>
The deceased, identified as Upendra (22) and Shivam (23), were food vendors in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. They sold local delicacies 'chhole kulche' and 'bhatura' in the area. Both were residents of a small, poorly ventilated room in Basai village.
Their neighbours saw smoke coming from the room in the early morning hours and broke down the door to find the two men unconscious. They were rushed to the district hospital in Sector 39, but sadly the doctors declared them dead on arrival.&nbsp;
As per the initial police investigation, the men had left a pot of 'chhole' cooking on the stove before going to sleep. The stove was burning throughout the night, which led to the food blackening and emitting thick smoke that filled the unventilated room, according to a report on India Today website.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Initial investigation suggests that suffocation caused by the accumulation of smoke and carbon monoxide in the poorly ventilated room led to their deaths,&rdquo; the report quoted a&nbsp; Noida Police official as saying.

India: Jharkhand principal forces 80 girls to remove shirts for writing on them

Dev Pragad, the Indian-origin CEO of the influential American news magazine Newsweek, has lauded the hardworking and results-oriented nature of the Indian diaspora that has made the community successful in the West. Pragad was in India as the guest of honour at the Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention, the mega diaspora event hosted by Indian government in the eastern state of Odisha.
Speaking to WION's Sidhant Sibal, he said, "I think 20 years ago, if you're especially in America, if you're Indian American, it was not easy...Through sheer hard work, talent and genius, they helped shape the narrative about Indians in that part of the world. And I think that's made life a lot easier for people like me, who have come much later."&nbsp;
Born in India in 1984, Pragad grew up in the United Kingdom and is a British American dual citizen. He became CEO of Newsweek in 2016 and a co-owner in 2018.
He has been credited with transforming Newsweek into a profitable enterprise, making it debt-free, and increasing its digital presence dramatically.
Asked about Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas, he said, it was "very inspiring for me. It was also a real honour to be personally invited by Dr S Jaishankar, recognising my contributions and having the foresight.
First time the government had deviated from inviting a political leader, and rather inviting a business leader to get a guest of honour.
Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD), which happens every two years, aims to strengthen India's bonds with its large diaspora. PBD is traditionally held on January 9th to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's return to India from South Africa in 1915.
Pragad also spoke about international media and perception about India.
He explained, "The media is a very small industry, there are not a lot of Indian-American leaders there. There are some, but not a lot of Indian Americans especially on the business side, which is where a lot of the decisionmaking happens and the power control lies. And I don't know if it's related to that or not, a lot of the media narrative about India, how India is represented, can also be a little skewed because of it, because the vast person may not always fully comprehend India, because India is a very complex and a nuanced country".
WION: If you can talk about your India connection..
Dev Pragad: I was born in India in 1984 in Tamil Nadu, in a town called Coimbatore. My parents left when I was 11 years old, briefly to the Middle East. Then they were in London, the United Kingdom, which is where I did my undergrad and then my PhD. And then I moved to the States in 2016 to become the CEO, and then in 2018 I became a co-owner of Newsweek. So, though I'm a British American national, I'm an overseas citizen of India, I'm still very Indian by heritage and culture. Indian food is still my go-to comfort food. I'm an Indian in many ways. So, India helped shape who I am. And you know the values that my parents instilled in me, hard work, devotion to education, excellence, honesty, integrity, all of that, I believe, led me to be, you know, very successful like many other Indian Americans. So, I'm not a unicorn. There's a lot of people like me who have been even more successful than me, and all of that has made us so proud in India. Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas convention was very inspiring for me. It was also a real honour to be personally invited by Dr S Jaishankar, recognising my contributions and having the foresight. First time the government had deviated from inviting a political leader and rather inviting a business leader to get a guest of honour. And I'm just 40, last year in October, so I'm still relatively young, so I hope that my story was inspiring for a lot of the other young people from the Indian diaspora, and also for many others too. I wasn't born into wealth or anything. You know, through sheer hard work, I made it all the way up.
WION: So you mentioned that India shaped you, perhaps, if we can delve on it, essentially the Indian Americans. So how do you see Indians making it big in the West, and any challenges do they face currently?
Dev Pragad: I think being a person of Indian origin, you naturally possess certain inherent skills. So the world is often not a binary place. And in business, especially as a leader, you're faced with very complex situations. And growing up in India, from a young age, you're used to seeing what appears to be chaos, but also order within chaos. And there are different shades of gray in every situation that you're very comfortable with dealing with. This leads to you being very comfortable with complexity. And I think that's a major advantage a lot of Indian American or, you know, people of Indian origin, process as they rise up to leadership roles, that they can handle complexity really well. And I also think we are very suited to manage complex people management situations and manage conflicts between people. I think we do have a natural temperament for that, and as you grow in your leadership, managing people becomes a huge part of what you do. You execute your plans and your strategies through people empowering them to excel. So I think that's also a huge, huge plus. Then, of course, a lot of us tend to be focused on working hard and executing rather than trying to tell the world how awesome you are, how great you are. I think that we prefer some of us, not all of us, quite a few of us, or a majority of us, like to be under the radar. Just work really hard, focus on actually delivering stuff, rather than tell the world and make an appearance that you're delivering stuff. So I think as the world has become very driven by performance metrics where delivery of results is more important than the appearance of delivering I think that's also another reason why people of Indian origin have been so successful in the West.
In terms of challenges, we have come a long way. So, I think 20 years ago, if you're especially in America, if you're Indian American, it was not easy. I think there were a lot of pioneers who went into Silicon Valley. Through sheer hard work, talent and genius, they helped shape the narrative about Indians in that part of the world. And I think that's made life a lot easier for people like me, who have come much later. So I think today, in certain fields, you know, Indian Americans are extremely well-respected. In the media circle, keep in mind, the media is a very small industry, there are not a lot of Indian American leaders there. There are some, but not a lot of Indian Americans especially on the business side which is where a lot of the decision-making happens and the power control lies. And I don't know if it's related to that or not, a lot of the media narrative about India, you know, how India is represented can also be little skewed because of it, because the vast person may not always fully comprehend India, because India is a very complex and a nuanced country. As we earlier said, there are so many shades of gray here, and it's very hard to interpret it all when you just look from a very faraway prism. I think it's an evolution as different industries get comfortable with people from diverse cultures, right? Our culture is quite unique, and that culture also shapes how we do things, how we approach things, and it can differ from the standard status quo of how some of the people there would do things or approach things, right? So I wouldn't say this is a major issue, but definitely, you know, it is an evolution.
WION: If you can talk about India and about India's rise, what India can do..
Dev Pragad: First of all, India has gifted the world with its amazing, amazingly talented people, who are the Indian diaspora. There are so many great people who have gone abroad and, you know, did amazing things for those countries and also for the world. I mean, we over-glamourised the CEOs, but let's also not forget, a lot of scientists, a lot of doctors, a lot of people in academia have gone there, discovered many things, done a lot of great things, and contributed greatly to the global society. So you know, in a way, directly or indirectly, that is credit to India, and testament to the rise of the ways in which India contributes to the world. So, we must really acknowledge that. And it is my view that like America, India is a democratic country. And India takes great pride in being a democratic country and given its very decentralised system, broadly speaking it is a very stable democracy. People hold the democratic values very close to their heart, very much, like America. You know last year in the presidential elections people in America really celebrated it, it's almost like a celebration. It's a festival. People take it very seriously. It means a lot to them. So, it was a very defining moment for me as an American to vote in the elections this time. But that's a huge thing. I think the more it indeed succeeds, it's a testament and a strength to the importance of democracy. And also at Newsweek, we care about geopolitics a lot. And I think, as a democratic India rises and becomes more influential, our shared values from a geopolitical angle also plays a very important part, I think, for India.
WION: So my last question to you is about you being the CEO of Newsweek, that's a major outlet in the West now, essentially as the CEO, how do you see the media landscape? There are challenges like fake news, there are new opportunities, especially driven by artificial intelligence. So if you can sum up, what's your view?
Dev Pragad: For us at Newsweek, it's incredibly important to be trustworthy. We say trustworthy more than trusted, because when we say we want to be trustworthy. We are seeking to earn the trust of our readers. So that's super-important for us, and that we're very conscious in that our journalism is very accessible to as many people as possible, and also at Newsweek, we listen to, we speak to and listen to people across the political and cultural spectrum in America. America is a very big country, and people do hold very different views. And we want to be a publication for all Americans that's been an integral part of our turnaround. And also, you know, we do want to be a very global publication, because that's always been a part of Newsweek's history and heritage. So if you look deep into Newsweek's history, it had two major products. One was the domestic American product, and one was the global product, which was really much more elite. And it's really where we focus on interviewing world leaders, like we had with the Japanese prime minister or the Indian prime minister, or the president of South Korea. So those are the few, the two major products that we produce, and being a very fair and trustworthy publication is incredibly important for us, and we place a lot of emphasis on that, and that's been quite central to the way we have transformed the business. Even independent studies have shown our brand is being trusted more across the political spectrum, on both sides and for the huge win, and that's also been a big part of what's driven the audience. You know, today we have between four, four and 5 million people every day reading us on newsweek.com, alone, plus we add some of the more, wider distribution platforms, like Apple News, and probably easily a few more million. And we take everything very seriously in terms of, you know, we fact-checked a lot of news. We are an accredited fact checker. You know, we do use AI to help and supplement, with the rise of AI, of course, it will be easier for people to spread fake news. So our view is that if we stay true to our mission and true to our values of being a trustworthy publication for all Americans, we think we can remain very relevant in an era in which there could be a lot of fake news and AI-generated news.

Dev Pragad, the Indian-origin CEO of the influential American news magazine Newsweek, has lauded the hardworking and results-oriented nature of the Indian diaspora that has made the community successful in the West. Pragad was in India as the guest of honour at the Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention, the mega diaspora event hosted by Indian government in the eastern state of Odisha. Speaking to WION's Sidhant Sibal, he said, "I think 20 years ago, if you're especially in America, if you're Indian American, it was not easy...Through sheer hard work, talent and genius, they helped shape the narrative about Indians in that part of the world. And I think that's made life a lot easier for people like me, who have come much later." Born in India in 1984, Pragad grew up in the United Kingdom and is a British American dual citizen. He became CEO of Newsweek in 2016 and a co-owner in 2018. Asked about Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas, he said, it was "very inspiring for me. It was also a real honour to be personally invited by Dr S Jaishankar, recognising my contributions and having the foresight. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD), which happens every two years, aims to strengthen India's bonds with its large diaspora. He explained, "The media is a very small industry, there are not a lot of Indian-American leaders there. There are some, but not a lot of Indian Americans especially on the business side, which is where a lot of the decisionmaking happens and the power control lies. And I don't know if it's related to that or not, a lot of the media narrative about India, how India is represented, can also be a little skewed because of it, because the vast person may not always fully comprehend India, because India is a very complex and a nuanced country". WION: If you can talk about your India connection.. Dev Pragad: I was born in India in 1984 in Tamil Nadu, in a town called Coimbatore. My parents left when I was 11 years old, briefly to the Middle East. Then they were in London, the United Kingdom, which is where I did my undergrad and then my PhD. And then I moved to the States in 2016 to become the CEO, and then in 2018 I became a co-owner of Newsweek. So, though I'm a British American national, I'm an overseas citizen of India, I'm still very Indian by heritage and culture. Indian food is still my go-to comfort food. I'm an Indian in many ways. So, India helped shape who I am. And you know the values that my parents instilled in me, hard work, devotion to education, excellence, honesty, integrity, all of that, I believe, led me to be, you know, very successful like many other Indian Americans. So, I'm not a unicorn. There's a lot of people like me who have been even more successful than me, and all of that has made us so proud in India. WION: So you mentioned that India shaped you, perhaps, if we can delve on it, essentially the Indian Americans. So how do you see Indians making it big in the West, and any challenges do they face currently? Dev Pragad: I think being a person of Indian origin, you naturally possess certain inherent skills. So the world is often not a binary place. And in business, especially as a leader, you're faced with very complex situations. And growing up in India, from a young age, you're used to seeing what appears to be chaos, but also order within chaos. And there are different shades of gray in every situation that you're very comfortable with dealing with. This leads to you being very comfortable with complexity. And I think that's a major advantage a lot of Indian American or, you know, people of Indian origin, process as they rise up to leadership roles, that they can handle complexity really well. And I also think we are very suited to manage complex people management situations and manage conflicts between people. I think we do have a natural temperament for that, and as you grow in your leadership, managing people becomes a huge part of what you do. You execute your plans and your strategies through people empowering them to excel. So I think that's also a huge, huge plus. Then, of course, a lot of us tend to be focused on working hard and executing rather than trying to tell the world how awesome you are, how great you are. I think that we prefer some of us, not all of us, quite a few of us, or a majority of us, like to be under the radar. Just work really hard, focus on actually delivering stuff, rather than tell the world and make an appearance that you're delivering stuff. So I think as the world has become very driven by performance metrics where delivery of results is more important than the appearance of delivering I think that's also another reason why people of Indian origin have been so successful in the West. In terms of challenges, we have come a long way. So, I think 20 years ago, if you're especially in America, if you're Indian American, it was not easy. I think there were a lot of pioneers who went into Silicon Valley. Through sheer hard work, talent and genius, they helped shape the narrative about Indians in that part of the world. And I think that's made life a lot easier for people like me, who have come much later. So I think today, in certain fields, you know, Indian Americans are extremely well-respected. In the media circle, keep in mind, the media is a very small industry, there are not a lot of Indian American leaders there. There are some, but not a lot of Indian Americans especially on the business side which is where a lot of the decision-making happens and the power control lies. And I don't know if it's related to that or not, a lot of the media narrative about India, you know, how India is represented can also be little skewed because of it, because the vast person may not always fully comprehend India, because India is a very complex and a nuanced country. Kumbh 2025: Steve Jobs's wife Laurene Powell prays at Kashi Vishwanath

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will represent India at the swearing-in ceremony of US President-elect Donald Trump on January 20.
During his visit to Washington, Jaishankar will also hold meetings with representatives of the incoming Trump administration, said a statement from&nbsp;the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Sunday (Jan 12).
"On the invitation of the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee, External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S. Jaishankar will represent the Government of India at the Swearing-In Ceremony of President-Elect Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America," the statement said.

The primary objective of the SpaDeX mission is to develop and demonstrate the technology needed for rendezvous, docking, and undocking of two small spacecraft - SDX01, which is the Chaser, and SDX02, the Target. Each satellite weighs 220kg and is fitted with cameras, sensors and thrusters that will enable precise docking.&nbsp;

When a chaser spacecraft is approaching the target spacecraft, the relative velocity between the two (the difference in velocity between the two) and the distance between the two must be controlled very carefully. If the relative velocity is too high, the docking attempt can fail, causing damage or collisions. If it is too low, it may take too long to complete the approach, which could lead to fuel inefficiencies or mission delays.
When the spacecraft dock, their relative velocity must be near-zero. This means that the two spacecraft must be moving at the same velocity and in the same direction at the time of docking to ensure a smooth mechanical connection without any impact forces. This requires careful coordination and manoeuvring, all done fully autonomously.
Initially, the satellites were over 10 km apart from each other. Gradually, the satellites began to autonomously reduce the distance between themselves. The inter-satellite distance had been lowered to 5 km, 1.5 km, 500m and so on.

Noida police, in a big operation, busted a fake call centre operating out of Sector 2, Noida, and arrested eight people for duping victims off $0.7 million. The accused pretended to work for well-established banks and financial institutions, offering fake promises of easy loans, insurance policy renewals, and attractive investment schemes.
<h2 dir="ltr">How did this take place?</h2>
The call centre was operating from plot A-44 in Sector 2, targeting people from multiple states by getting their details from online local search platforms. "They collected 10-15% of the loan amount upfront as fees, but the promised loans never materialised," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Ram Badan Singh.
A victim was defrauded and lost $0.1 million, police said. The wicked gang targeted people from different states outside Uttar Pradesh, aware of the fact that it would be harder for them to file complaints or pursue legal action due to distance.&nbsp;
"A few days ago, Sector 18's Raghunandan Jewellers filed a complaint alleging that a man named Naresh, who was also a custodian at the shop, had stolen jewellery. During interrogation, Naresh admitted to the crime and told police that he sold the jewellery and invested the money obtained from it. It was while tracing this money that the call centre&mdash;Investors'&mdash;was busted from Sector 2," said DCP Rambadan Singh.
During the investigation, it was found that the suspects acquired people's phone numbers online or from vendor sites like Justdial and called or sent them WhatsApp messages, posing as representatives of various banks.
<h2 dir="ltr">Who was involved? How did they operate?</h2>
The accused, aged between 25 and 35, were identified as Ganesh Thakur, Prabhash Jha, Manish Kumar Jha, Parvez Alam, Shubham Yadav, Gyanendra, Shabnam, and Aradhana. They belong to West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.
The gang used easily available online templates to fabricate documents, including fake RBI and government certifications, to appear legitimate. When refunds were demanded by the victims, they sent fake documents to confuse and mislead them further.&nbsp;
&ldquo;They exploited the trust of people by presenting convincing fake credentials. It&rsquo;s a well-organised scam,&rdquo; said DCP Singh.

Indian police bust $0.7 million fake call centre scam in UP's Noida

ANI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its second list of 29 candidates for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections, scheduled for February 5.
The party has fielded former AAP leader Kapil Mishra from Karawal Nagar. Mishra won the Karawal Nagar seat in the 2015 Assembly elections, defeating four-time BJP MLA Mohan Singh Bisht. However, in the 2020 Assembly elections, he contested on a BJP ticket from the Model Town seat but lost to AAP candidate Akhilesh Pati Tripathi by a margin of over 10 per cent.

'Loved aerial pictures and videos': PM Modi reacts as Omar Abdullah shares visuals of Z-Morh tunnel before inauguration

ISRO's twin SPADEX satellites are barely 230metres away from each other, which is the closest they have gotten since they were placed in orbit on December 30, 2024. This indicates significant progress, given that the satellites had drifted almost 6.5kms apart earlier this week, when they were supposed to get at close as 225meters.&nbsp;
As of 6pm, Saturday, January 11, ISRO has said that the satellites are in normal health and their sensors are being evaluated. Space docking of two satellites is an intricate, fully autonomous process involving multiple sensors and cameras.&nbsp;
<h2>Two Postponed Docking attempts this week</h2>
The first docking attempt planned for January 7 was postponed as ISRO wanted to perform a software test and on-ground simulation. &nbsp;
The docking was then pushed to Thursday, January 9. However, on Wednesday night as one of the twin satellites aimed to move closer from 500m to 225m, the distance between the satellites increased drastically. Early on Thursday, private firms Digantara and s2a systems tracked the satellites when they were almost 6.5 kms apart.&nbsp;
<h2>How is ISRO executing SPADEX ?</h2>
The primary objective of the SPADEX mission is to develop and demonstrate the technology needed for rendezvous, docking, and undocking of two small spacecraft - SDX01, which is the Chaser, and SDX02, the Target. Each satellite weighs 220kg, and has been hurled into a circular orbit that is 470kms above the earth's surface.&nbsp;
At the time of ejection, the final stage of the PSLV rocket gave a small relative velocity between the Target and Chaser spacecraft at the time of separation. Simply put, the target satellite will be travelling slightly faster than the chaser. This incremental velocity will allow the Target spacecraft to build a distance of 10-20 km with the Chaser.
Gradually, the satellites will autonomously reduce the distance between themselves by adjusting their respective velocities. From 20kms, the inter-satellite distance would be lowered to of 5km, 1.5 km, 500m, 225m, 15m, and 3m, ultimately leading to the docking of the two spacecraft. After successful docking and unification, electrical power transfer between the two satellites will be demonstrated. Electrical power transfer is crucial for carrying out in-space robotics, control of the unified spacecraft etc.&nbsp;
After the primary mission of docking is accomplished, the two satellites will then separate(undock) and start operating as two different satellites, operating their respective payloads for the expected mission life of up to two years.
ISRO Chairman Dr. S. Somanath had told WION that the twin satellites could attempt more docking and undocking, depending on the mission requirement and the availability of fuel on both crafts.&nbsp;
<h2>Why is Space docking so complicated?</h2>
When a chaser spacecraft is approaching the target spacecraft, the relative velocity between the two(the difference in velocity between the two) and the distance between the two must be controlled very carefully. If the relative velocity is too high, the docking attempt can fail, causing damage or collisions. If it is too low, it may take too long to complete the approach, which could lead to fuel inefficiencies or mission delays.
When the spacecraft dock, their relative velocity must be near-zero. This means that the two spacecraft must be moving at the same velocity and in the same direction at the time of docking to ensure a smooth mechanical connection without any impact forces. This requires careful coordination and manoeuvring, all done fully autonomously.
Initially the satellites were over 10kms apart from each other. Gradually, the satellites began to autonomously reduce the distance between themselves. The inter-satellite distance had been lowered to 5 km, 1.5 km, 500m and so on.&nbsp;
WION had earlier reported that SPADEX is ISRO's most complicated mission yet in orbit around the earth. ISRO's twin SPADEX satellites being of small size(and carrying commensurate fuel) also add to the complexity of the mission. It is widely regarded that docking larger satellites with larger quantities of fuel is relatively simpler.
As this is India's maiden docking mission, ISRO is predominantly relying upon the natural drift of the satellites to bring them closer, which is why it is a time-consuming process. It must be noted that SPADEX was launched on 30th December and docking was expected at least a week later. In contrast, large cargo-carrying or human-carrying spacecrafts dock with the International space station in eight hours after being launched into space. This is done by firing the on-board engines of the spacecraft and syncing up in close proximity with the space station, leading to docking.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who led the consecration ceremony on January 22 last year, greeted citizens on the occasion.
"Best wishes to all citizens on the first anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. This temple, built after centuries of sacrifice, penance and struggle, is a great heritage of our culture and spirituality.
"I am confident that this divine and magnificent Ram temple will become a great inspiration in the accomplishment of the resolution of a developed India (Viksit Bharat)," he said in a post on X in Hindi.

Anup Mishra, a local resident who was at the temple to witness the anniversary celebrations, said, "We were not able to come to the Ram Janmabhoomi when the Pran Pratistha was done in January 2024, but we were fortunate enough to reach the court of Ram Lalla on the first anniversary of the ceremony.
"Sarla Maheshwari, who has come from Bhopal, said, "We reached Ayodhya two days ago to take part in the anniversary celebrations and are excited that today we will see the deity."

Scheduled from January 11 to 13, the celebrations aim to include common people, who were unable to attend the historic ceremony last year, alongside 110 invited VIPs, according to the temple trust.
A German hangar tent has been set up at the Angad Teela site, capable of hosting up to 5,000 people.
Common people will have the opportunity to witness the grand event, which includes classical cultural performances, rituals and daily Ram Katha discourses at the pavilion and the 'yagnashala'.
"The trust has decided to invite common people who could not attend the consecration ceremony last year. They will be allowed to join all three days of events at the Angad Teela," Champat Rai, the general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had earlier said.
The trust also said that invitation letters have been distributed to guests, including the 110 VIPs, many of whom missed the original '<a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/shankaracharya-backs-rahul-gandhi-on-hindus-and-violence-speech-in-indian-parliament-video-goes-viral-738986">Pran Pratishtha</a>' ceremony on January 22, 2024.

The pavilion and the 'yagnashala' will serve as key venues for the festivities.

The Uttar Pradesh government announced financial assistance of ₹2.5 lakh to 5 workers with serious injuries and ₹50,000 will be given to those with simple injuries.

Teams are trying to find out if any more persons are trapped and the injured are being treated... An inquiry will be conducted and those guilty of negligence will be punished..."

In India's southern Kerala state, six people have been arrested over rape allegations by an 18-year-old sportswoman. The girl, who recently turned 18, claimed that she was raped and sexually exploited by at least 62 people including her coaches since the age of 13, IANS news&nbsp; agency reported.
