In India's Rajasthan, a Jaisalmer resident has been arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The arrest comes in the aftermath of the horrific Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed. The responsibility for the attack was earlier taken by the The Resistance Front (TRF), believed to be a proxy for Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based organisation. TRF has since withdrawn its earlier claim and says that it was made during an online breach. India, however, has taken decisive steps against Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism.
<h2>ISI spy identified&nbsp;</h2>
As per an official release, the man identified as Pathan Khan visited Pakistan in 2013, and there he came in contact with Pakistan's spy agency. Khan, as per an ANI report, was detained about a month ago and has been questioned since then. He was formally arrested on 1 May 2025. A case has been registered against him under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.

Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information," Delhi Airport said in an advisory posted on X.&nbsp;

Police said the girl, a first-year B.Tech (Computer Science) student, was found hanging in her hostel room. Her body has been sent to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for a post-mortem.&nbsp;

"Today, we have received information that a girl from Nepal has died by suicide at the KIIT University...we reached there and investigated the matter. A detailed investigation will be conducted into the matter...The scientific team reached there, and all the details were collected. Her family has been informed. The body has been sent to AIIMS for the post-mortem," said Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Suresh Dev Datta Singh.
<h2>Demands for investigation intensify</h2>
The Akhil Bharat Nepali Ekta Samaj has demanded a thorough investigation into the death of the student.
"We demand an investigation into this matter as soon as possible. We will also investigate the matter in detail, what happened and why she died... We want the accused should be arrested and punished," said Samar Bahadur, a member of the Samaj.

Security has been increased at the KIIT University campus, while the Odisha government offered condolences and promised action.
"On receipt of the information, senior officers, including the Commissioner of Police and Revenue Divisional Commissioner, rushed to the site to enquire into the circumstances leading to the unfortunate incident and take necessary action in the matter. The forensic team is at the spot to collect evidence," said a statement from the state Information and Public Relations Department.

Pahalgam terror attack: Attari-Wagah border completely shut, leaves many Pakistani nationals stranded

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) entrusted with the responsibility of investigating the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 people, including a pony rider, revisited the Baisaran meadow for three-dimensional, or 3D, mapping of the site on Wednesday (April 30).
The technique will help the investigating team to reconstruct the scene and understand the duration, exact location, and routes taken by the terrorists in carrying out the attack.&nbsp;
According to reports, the NIA team is also accompanied by two teams of forensic experts.
Intelligence reports suggest 15 local Over Ground Workers (OGWs) are likely to have provided logistical support to the Pahalgam attackers.

The Indian government has cleared the resumption of the operation of the Army and Air Force versions of the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv, which have been grounded for over three months. Pakistani citizens who are to leave India have been stranded at the Attari-Wagah crossing as the neighbouring country is unwilling to open its border for their people to cross over. Since there is an elderly person with me who requires insulin injections can't wait here longer and will be returning back to Rajouri."
Similarly Basarat Hussain shah speaking to ANI said, "I had come here to se off my wife. Have been waiting here since morning and now it is 4 pm, almost 6 hours they haven't opened the gate yet. Now we have been asked to go back."

<h2>Pakistani nationals asked to leave post Pahalgam terror attack</h2>
A day after the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam district in which 26 people were killed, the Indian government amongst other punitive measures taken against Pakistan had said that Pakistani nationals will not be allowed to travel to India under the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) Visa Exemption Scheme. Pakistani nationals living in India on such visas will also have to leave the country within 48 hours.
Speaking after the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, Foreign Secretary Vikam Misri said, "Pakistani nationals will not be permitted to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) visas. Any SVES visas issued in the past to Pakistani nationals are deemed cancelled. Any Pakistani national currently in India under SVES visa has 48 hours to leave India."

The Delhi High Court, on Thursday (May 1), observed that Yoga practitioner Ramdev seemed to live in his own world and was "not in control of anyone", while finding him in prima facie contempt for his "sharbat jihad" comments against Hamdard's Rooh Afza, which allegedly violated the court's order.
The court had previously ordered not to issue any statement or share videos in future over Hamdard's products.
"In view of the last order, his affidavit as well as this video are prima facie in contempt. I will issue a contempt notice now. We are just calling him here," Justice Amit Bansal said after being informed on Thursday that despite the court's April 22 directions, Ramdev published a video making objectionable statements.
"He (Ramdev) is not in control of anyone. He lives in his own world," the judge remarked.
Ramdev's counsel requested the court to adjourn the matter since the counsel arguing the case was unavailable.
<h2>'Shocks conscience of the court'</h2>
Earlier, Ramdev assured the Delhi High Court that he would remove all videos and social media posts featuring his controversial "Sharbat Jihad" remark.
His assurance came in response to a lawsuit filed by Hamdard, the manufacturer of Rooh Afza, who objected to Ramdev's statements.
Controversy erupted when Ramdev allegedly claimed in a video that Hamdard was using its profits to finance the construction of mosques and madrasas, labelling the drink as part of a supposed "sharbat jihad".
"A company uses money earned from selling sherbet to build mosques and madrasas. If you drink that sherbet, mosques and madrasas will be built. But if you drink Patanjali rose sherbet, gurukuls and Patanjali university will be built. Like love jihad and vote jihad, a sherbet jihad is also on," he said without naming the brand Hamdard.
His comments drew widespread criticism for their communal tone, with Hamdard accusing him of attempting to create "communal divide" and damaging their product's reputation.
During the hearing, Justice Amit Bansal of the Delhi High Court strongly condemned the remarks by the Yoga guru, stating, "When I saw this ad, I could not believe my ears and eyes."
"It shocks the conscience of the court. This is indefensible," he added.
Senior Advocate Rajiv Nayar, representing Patanjali and Baba Ramdev, told the court that the contentious videos would be taken down.

They initially planned to attack in the Betaab valley, but it was difficult to escape from there because of the movement of security forces around. Something similar happened with the Aru valley which is after the desperate valley and they reached the Baisaran tourist spot.
There were a total of four terrorists, who killed 26 people in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam last week. Two among them were wearing camouflage and the other two were in civilian dress. Some of the eyewitnesses have said that four terrorists were involved in the attack while only three of them came inside the meadow while the fourth was outside the fence keeping a cover. Two of the terrorists were wearing army camouflage uniforms.&nbsp; According to sources in the investigation agency, the terrorists had done a recce of all the tourist points of Pahalgam like Aaru Valley, Betaab Valley and Baisaran. Sources say the terrorists had earlier planned to target Betaab Valley, but at the last moment they changed the plan and decided on Baisaran. It was chosen as they could flee from the spot easily.
At least 65 foreign and 14 local terrorists are active in the Kashmir valley. The terrorists keep moving from south of Kashmir to north of Kashmir through the mountains from the Pir Panjal range to Shamsawari range. &nbsp;
