These families came forward only after the Lieutenant Governor had met a few families in Anantnag on 29th June 2025 and they were assured of jobs within 30 days.&nbsp;The Lieutenant Governor fulfilled his promise within 15 days and handed-over appointment letters to the 40 families of terror victims in North Kashmir's Baramulla district. According to the government of Jammu and Kashmir, the process will continue till every terror victim's family is rehabilitated.&nbsp;''I am committed to ensure that these families receive the justice, jobs, recognition and support they deserve after years of suffering. It is a historic step to finally recognize and honour the thousands of innocent civilians in J&amp;K. Truth about Terror Victim families was deliberately suppressed. No one came to wipe their tears. There was no issue with the quality of fuel and no abnormality with the take-off roll." "The aircraft achieved the maximum recorded airspeed of 180 Knots IAS at about 08:08:42 UTC, and immediately thereafter, the Engine 1 and Engine 2 fuel cutoff switches transitioned from RUN to CUTOFF position one after another with a time gap of 01 sec," the report said.&nbsp;Pilots confused&nbsp;The investigation report also revealed the last moments of the plane, in which the pilot of the aircraft was heard confused in the cockpit voice recording. "In the cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why he cut off. The other pilot responded that he did not do so," the report read. Boeing advisory not followed The investigation report also revealed that Boeing had issued an optional advisory on the fuel control switch locking mechanism, but Air India had not carried out the recommended checks. The AAIB report also confirmed that the wreckage analysis, post-mortem, is ongoing. "At this stage of investigation, there are no recommended actions to B787-8 and/or GE GEnx-1B engine operators and manufacturers," the report said.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Pilots confused The investigation report also revealed the last moments of the plane, in which the pilot of the aircraft was heard confused in the cockpit voice recording. "In the cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why he cut off. The other pilot responded that he did not do so," the report read. Boeing advisory not followed The investigation report also revealed that Boeing had issued an optional advisory on the fuel control switch locking mechanism, but Air India had not carried out the recommended checks. The AAIB report also confirmed that the wreckage analysis, post-mortem, is ongoing. "At this stage of investigation, there are no recommended actions to B787-8 and/or GE GEnx-1B engine operators and manufacturers," the report said.

Three Delhi schools received bomb threats via mail on Monday (July 14). The schools are located in Chanakyapuri, Rohini and Dwarka. The police, PCR, sniffer dogs, and the bomb disposal squad have conducted thorough checks. Cyber Police experts are tracing the source of the mail sent to these schools. The area has been cleared and sanitised. The police, PCR, sniffer dogs, and the bomb disposal squad have conducted thorough checks. Cyber Police experts are tracing the source of the mail sent to these schools. Additionally, security has been beefed up at the school following the incident.

This will include one camera each at the front, rear and on both sides of the locomotive. Each cab (front and rear) of a loco will be fitted with one dome CCTV camera and two desk-mounted microphones," said an official.&nbsp;The CCTV cameras will be of high quality and specifications. These CCTVs will be capable in providing good quality pictures even in &nbsp;trains running over 100 kmph speeds and also under low lighting conditions, said Vaishnaw.&nbsp;He also told the officials to explore the use of artificial intelligence on the data captured by CCTV cameras, in collaboration with the IndiaAI mission.&nbsp;The effort is being taken by the Indian Railways to ensure a safe, secure, and passenger-friendly travel experience, said the ministry in its statement. &nbsp;

No casualties were reported and around nine injured pilgrims were immediately taken to the nearby hospital for first aid. They were later shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) in Anantnag district. "All of them have sustained minor injuries and are in stable condition," said medical officials. After a few hours the yatra resumed with authorities urging transport operators to adhere strictly to convoy protocols to avoid further accidents. Both engines were recovered and quarantined in a hangar. Fuel samples from the aircraft and refuelling vehicles were tested at the DGCA laboratory and found to be satisfactory.</li></ul><h3>UK based families demand structured investigation</h3>Families in the UK who lost loved ones in the June 12 crash are calling for a structured way to be represented by experts in the official investigation. Keystone Law, representing over 20 of these families, welcomed the narrowed focus of the probe into the aircraft's fuel control switches. However, the firm pointed out that outdated legal frameworks currently prevent families from participating in the investigation.&nbsp;According to a report in Business Standard, James Healy-Pratt, Aviation Partner at Keystone, said, "the families now understand there is a more defined area of investigation, but one of their bigger concerns is that they are excluded from this safety investigation."&nbsp;He argued that a system should be placed allowing expert representation for those families that can feed into the combined safety work that's going on. Talking to the news agency Reuters, former pilot and senior lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University, Marco Chan, said it could be the result of a chip malfunction rather than human error. He points to a previously issued service bulletin from the engine manufacturer advising maintenance of a flawed chip to prevent signal loss.&nbsp;“I believe the FAA has - together with GE, General Electric, the engine manufacturer - has issued a service bulletin, i.e. I believe it was about 11,000 cycles, they will have to replace the chip. And if it is not replaced or maintenance isn't done correctly, it could lead to intermittent loss of signal. Once you have a loss of signal, the fuel isn’t commanded, i.e. in the CUTOFF position, then there's no fuel going to the engine," Chan said, Reuters reported.He said that it would be a challenge for pilots in the aircraft to accidentally move the switches to the CUTOFF mode.&nbsp;“You have to physically sort of - not pull the pin - but if you have to pull the toggle out, then it can move to a different position. So, you do have to do it on purpose, not accidentally knocking it to the wrong position. Very rarely that can happen, or close to zero," he added.&nbsp;Pilots' body is not happy with the report&nbsp;Hours after the probe revelation, the Pilots’ Association of India alleged that the investigation is being done presuming that the pilots were at fault. The association claimed that “suitably qualified personnel are not taken on board" for the probe into the crash.&nbsp;The association released a statement in which it said, “We feel that the investigation is being driven in a direction presuming the guilt of pilots and we strongly object to this line of thought."&nbsp;&nbsp;

Talking to the news agency Reuters, former pilot and senior lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University, Marco Chan, said it could be the result of a chip malfunction rather than human error. He points to a previously issued service bulletin from the engine manufacturer advising maintenance of a flawed chip to prevent signal loss. “I believe the FAA has - together with GE, General Electric, the engine manufacturer - has issued a service bulletin, i.e. I believe it was about 11,000 cycles, they will have to replace the chip. And if it is not replaced or maintenance isn't done correctly, it could lead to intermittent loss of signal. Once you have a loss of signal, the fuel isn’t commanded, i.e. in the CUTOFF position, then there's no fuel going to the engine," Chan said, Reuters reported. He said that it would be a challenge for pilots in the aircraft to accidentally move the switches to the CUTOFF mode. “You have to physically sort of - not pull the pin - but if you have to pull the toggle out, then it can move to a different position. So, you do have to do it on purpose, not accidentally knocking it to the wrong position. Very rarely that can happen, or close to zero," he added. Pilots' body is not happy with the report Hours after the probe revelation, the Pilots’ Association of India alleged that the investigation is being done presuming that the pilots were at fault. The association claimed that “suitably qualified personnel are not taken on board" for the probe into the crash. The association released a statement in which it said, “We feel that the investigation is being driven in a direction presuming the guilt of pilots and we strongly object to this line of thought."
