<h2>IndiGo disruptions</h2><p>Airports across India have Indigo airline passengers frustrated due to delays and cancellations. Over 1,232 flights have been cancelled in November 2025. For now, the airline says it is due to changes in FDTL (Flight Duty Time Limitations), which DGCA had revised in January 2024 and was to be implemented in a phased manner; that’s the very bug that bit the system and has caused the disruptions. Passengers were stranded at airports for hours; those planning to get to the airport have been receiving rescheduling notifications.</p><p>When it comes to FDTL updates, the airline has been highlighting that pilots need rest, and so these implementations are important and necessary. During the implementation period, the airline brought in additional dispensation to the revised FDTL norms; as a result, it also increased flights in the winter schedule. These cancellations may not be entirely due to the revised standards.</p><p><br>As the situation unfolded, the airline released a note which highlighted, “A large share of cancellations arose from crew, FDTL compliance and airport, airspace and ATC-related factors, many of which lie beyond the operator's direct control. And as a corrective measure, IndiGo informed that it will be “strengthening crew planning and rostering while adhering to FDTL norms. Enhancing coordination with ATC and airports to manage capacity constraints.”</p><p>Of the 1232 flights cancelled, 755 (61%) were due to FDTL constraints, the airline reported to the regulator. Speaking to news agency PTI, aviation expert Sanjay Lazar noted the “huge lapse on the part of IndiGo. “Despite a two-year head start to recruit pilots required for the new norms that were coming into being,” he highlighted.</p>

The court reasoned that under the pre-2019 POCSO Act, an MLA does not qualify as a “public servant” or person in “position of trust”, reducing the applicable minimum sentence to seven years. Sengar has already spent over seven years in jail.</p><p>The conditions set for relief include a Rs 15 lakh personal bond, staying only in Delhi, no entry within 5 km of the survivor’s home, no contact or threats to the family, surrender of passport, and weekly police reporting.</p><p>Sengar, meanwhile, remains behind bars for a 10-year sentence for the custodial death of the survivor’s father.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The survivor was raped in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao in June 2017. Until the committee submits its report, the concerned professor has been placed under suspension," a university official said, NDTV reported. Narayanan told WION. He added that the rocketry muscle power of the LVM3 would be further enhanced to lift 9,500kg to facilitate the Indian Gaganyaan Human Spaceflight mission. He added that the rocket can lift 9,500 kg to LEO after being fitted with a 'C32' Cryogenic upper stage which is a larger version of the existing 'C25' stage. The 'C32' stage will carry 32 tonnes of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen, seven tons higher than the 'C25'.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In its present avatar, the LVM3 can lift about 4,200-4,300 kg to the higher orbit known as Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit, Dr Narayanan stated. Geosynchronous transfer orbit (GTO) is where heavy communication satellites are initially launched into before being pushed into their final geostationary orbit.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The ISRO Chairman and Secretary of the Indian Government's Department of Space spoke following the successful placement of American firm AST SpaceMobile's Bluebird-6 satellite in orbit nearly 520 kilometres above the Earth. Weighing 6,100kg, the Bluebird-6 is the heaviest satellite to be carried by an Indian rocket.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This goes on to further cement the reliability of the Indian rocket that is meant to carry India's astronauts to space as part of Gaganyaan. The LVM3 vehicle that will carry astronauts will be designed as H-LVM3 or Human-rated LVM3, indicating that it has been certified and enhanced for safely ferrying astronauts.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Gaganyaan is an Indian government-funded project to launch astronauts to space from home soil on an indigenously designed and developed rocket and crewed capsule. The target is to launch the crewed capsule 400 km above the Earth, allow the astronauts to spend a short time in orbit, and then return for a splashdown landing&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In Indian waters. Four Indian Air Force test pilots have been chosen for the Gaganyaan programme. Speaking about the commercial demand for LVM3, M. He added that the precise launch carried out on Wednesday (Dec 24) yet again demonstrated the rocket's performance and capability. <p>Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday acknowledged that the transport sector is a significant contributor to pollution and emphasised the urgent need to reduce India's dependence on fossil fuels. Gadkari’s comments came against the backdrop of a sharp deterioration in Delhi’s air quality, as a thick blanket of toxic smog engulfed the national capital.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>"If there is any true nationalism today, it is reducing imports and increasing exports. But look at our situation. I stayed in Delhi for two days and developed a throat infection. Delhi is troubled by pollution. I am the Road Transport Minister, and around 40 per cent of pollution is linked to our sector," Nitin Gadkari said, NDTV reported.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>He also highlighted the country’s heavy reliance on fossil fuels, noting that India spends nearly Rs 22 lakh crore annually on importing them. "What kind of nationalism is this? Fossil fuels are limited, and pollution is increasing. Can't we reduce fossil fuel usage? Why can't we promote electric vehicles and hydrogen-powered vehicles, which can lead to zero pollution?" he questioned.</p><h3>Delhi AQI stood at a ‘hazardous' level</h3><p>Meanwhile, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi stood at a hazardous level of 413 at around 8 am on Tuesday, severely impacting visibility and raising public health concerns. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed 'severe' air quality levels across several parts of the National Capital Region (NCR).</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Anand Vihar emerged as one of the worst-affected areas with an AQI of 466, followed by Ashok Vihar at 444 and Chandni Chowk at 425. Areas around India Gate, Kartavya Path and Rashtrapati Bhavan were also shrouded in toxic smog, recording an AQI of 384, classified as 'Very Poor'.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In response, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) invoked all measures under GRAP Stage-IV across Delhi-NCR. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday acknowledged that the transport sector is a significant contributor to pollution and emphasised the urgent need to reduce India's dependence on fossil fuels. Gadkari’s comments came against the backdrop of a sharp deterioration in Delhi’s air quality, as a thick blanket of toxic smog engulfed the national capital. "If there is any true nationalism today, it is reducing imports and increasing exports. But look at our situation. I stayed in Delhi for two days and developed a throat infection. Delhi is troubled by pollution. I am the Road Transport Minister, and around 40 per cent of pollution is linked to our sector," Nitin Gadkari said, NDTV reported. He also highlighted the country’s heavy reliance on fossil fuels, noting that India spends nearly Rs 22 lakh crore annually on importing them. "What kind of nationalism is this? Fossil fuels are limited, and pollution is increasing. Can't we reduce fossil fuel usage? Why can't we promote electric vehicles and hydrogen-powered vehicles, which can lead to zero pollution?" he questioned. Delhi AQI stood at a ‘hazardous' level Meanwhile, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi stood at a hazardous level of 413 at around 8 am on Tuesday, severely impacting visibility and raising public health concerns. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed 'severe' air quality levels across several parts of the National Capital Region (NCR). Anand Vihar emerged as one of the worst-affected areas with an AQI of 466, followed by Ashok Vihar at 444 and Chandni Chowk at 425. Areas around India Gate, Kartavya Path and Rashtrapati Bhavan were also shrouded in toxic smog, recording an AQI of 384, classified as 'Very Poor'. In response, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) invoked all measures under GRAP Stage-IV across Delhi-NCR. In addition, truck-mounted water sprinklers were positioned to suppress dust and curb particulate pollution as part of emergency steps.

The infection that began in the intestines spread to the lungs, and the blood vessels carrying blood to the heart became blocked,” according to a report in Live Hindustan.</p>

ISRO said that the LVM3-M6/BlueBird Block-2 Mission is a dedicated commercial mission. It marks the sixth operational flight of LVM3.</p><h2><strong>All about LVM3</strong></h2><p>The LVM3 is ISRO's three-stage launch vehicle and comprises two solid strap-on motors (S200), a liquid core stage (L110), and a cryogenic upper stage (C25). It has a lift-off mass of 640 tonnes, a height of 43.5 meters, and a payload capability of 4,200 kg to Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO).</p><p>Earlier, the ISRO-developed launch vehicle successfully launched Chandrayaan-2, Chandrayaan-3, and two OneWeb missions carrying 72 satellites.
