Two pilots have been grounded by Jet Airways after they were caught fighting inside the cockpit, reports said.

During the flight from London to Mumbai, the pilots got into an argument, the pilot reportedly slapped the woman pilot after which she was seen coming out of the cockpit in tears.

However, the woman went back into the cockpit later to continue her flight operation.

Reports said Director General of Civil Aviation(DGCA) has suspended the licence of the male pilot involved in the incident. The pilot was already de-rostered by the airline.

The flight landed safely in Mumbai with 324 passengers onboard which included 2 infants and 14 crew members.

Media reports quoted spokesperson of Jet Airways saying that it was a case of misunderstanding between cockpit crew and was resolved amicably.

"At Jet Airways, the safety of guests, crew, and assets is of paramount importance and the airline has zero tolerance for any action of its employees that compromises safety," the spokesperson said.
