Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale on Friday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will roll out RuPay Cards in Bhutan during his state visit on 17-18 August.

Bhutan will be the second country after Singapore to roll out the services.

RuPay card trials in Bhutan had begun in March, 2019.

On being asked if there will be a review of the Doklam incident during PM Modi's visit to Bhutan, Gokhale said ''Obviously we will review the defence and security matters with Bhutan that include situation along the India-Bhutan boundary''.

On being asked about Bhutan's stand on Article 370, he said Bhutan has shown understanding that this is a matter which is India's internal affair.
