Police in the Indian Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday (Jul 22) warned citizens against sharing a propaganda video released by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed.

The video allegedly features a photo of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and a poster from his movie Phantom. Police said "the enemy" released the 5 minutes 55 seconds video at 2 pm Monday and people should not forward it. "Forwarding of content of this nature is an offence under section 13 and 18 of UAPA," the police warned.

It also released a public advisory regarding what people should do regarding the propaganda video.

"First, they will not forward it in any manner to anyone."

"Second, they will report by a message as to who have they received this propaganda video from. Mention the telephone number and the date and time of the receipt of the video."

"Police officers shall report it to their supervisory officer and civil officers should equally report it to their supervisory officers by way of a text message."

The Pakistani outfit, founded by UN-designated terrorist Maulana Masood Azhar, was behind staging a terror attack in Jammu's Doda last week. The attack left three soldiers and one Indian Army officer dead as they were carrying out an operation based on intelligence input.

Earlier, the group released a video showing the aftermath of the attack and the dead soldiers.

The group claimed the attack was in retaliation to a previous incident where the Indian Army had dragged the dead body of a terrorist after an encounter.
