The National Investigation Agency is set to probe into theescape ofan imprisoned LeTterrorist Naveed JatfromSri MaharajaHariSingh Hospital inSrinagar.
The NIA registered a case in connection with the escape of the LeT terrorist on Monday.
Naveed Jatt alias Abu Hanzulla fled from police custody on February 6 when a group fired at the policemen who were accompanying Jat to Sri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital.
The terrorist of thePakistan-basedterrorist outfitLashkar-e-Taiba was being escorted for a medical test along with five others. As per preliminary information, he may have fled off with the snatched rifle.
Two policemen were killed in the incident.
On February 6, the Jammu and Kashmir police had arrested four peoplein connection with thefiring at SMHS hospital.

The four alleged accused were arrested in a raid conducted by the Special Investigation Team.
