Sidhu tweeted an image of the letter.In the tweet, Sidhu has said that he had submitted the letter to the party president Rahul Gandhi on "June 10 2019".

Sidhu was Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy in Captain Amrinder Singh's government.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister’s office has confirmed that they had not received Navjot Singh Sidhu’s resignation letter.
