Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Uma Bharti, on Sunday said that she appreciates Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray's effort to push for Ram temple construction.

The minister appealed to all, including various political parties and leaders, to "come forward and support the construction of the temple."

"Yes, I appreciate Uddhav Thackeray for his effort. BJP doesn't have a patent on Ram Mandir, Lord Ram is of all. I appeal to everyone including SP, BSP, Akali Dal, Owaisi, Azam Khan etc to come forward and support the construction of the temple," Bharti noted.

Meanwhile, CPI(M) secretary general Sitaram Yechury on Sunday said that the Constitution, law and order are being subverted in the name of faith.

The senior leader went on to add that, "communal polarization is being sharpened to consolidate Hindutva communal vote bank," news agency ANI reported.

"This is worst vote bank politics that the country has seen," Yechury noted at the party's state conference in Tripura.
