Heavy rains expected next week
Most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, west and north Madhya Pradesh get heavy showers from Tuesday
Heavy rains are set to lash most of northwest and central India next week, weather forecaster skymetweather has warned.
The forecaster said a depression is already developing in Bay of Bengal which is likely to move towards north Andhra Pradesh by Sunday. However, there is still uncertainty over cyclone formation.
Rainfall is set to be widespread in eastern India, it said.
Most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, west and north Madhya Pradesh will get heavy showers from Tuesday, the forecaster said.
Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are also likely to get rain and snow next week.
Isolated light rains are likely over Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, skymetweather said.

Meanwhile, the Indian Navy continued its rescue mission off Lakshadweep in the Arabian Sea after cyclone Ockhi left a trail of destruction in western India.
Navy ships rescued at least 180 people in the region. The armed forces have also deployed P8I surveillance aircraft, Dornier aircraftand ALH helicopters for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief support.
