Despite a slow start after being released on June 7 amid tension in the south Indian state of Karnataka, the film started picking at the ticket windows. Kaala not only had a great pickup in India but in the US and Australia too.
According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Kaala has crossed 100 crore gross at the box office worldwide. He also added that the film is a hit among females, kids and family audience. In a tweet, Bala wrote: “Excellent Saturday yesterday at the Box office.. On the worldwide performance of the film Kaala, Bala tweeted: “#Kaala on a record run in #Australia – Will be 2018’s 2nd highest opener next to #Padmaavat 3-days Total: A$ 316,860 [₹ 1.63 cr].”
